Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Subtle Use of Blood Manipulation

Tsukasa watched as the thugs surrounded Touma and Mikoto. Suddenly, a lightbulb flashed in his head as if he had thought of something fun.

A mischievous curve appeared on his lips. If his sister saw him now, she would definitely look at him with total disgust and complain.

"When this guy smiles like that, he definitely isn't up to any good!" she would say.

Just as one of the thugs was about to aim a punch at Touma's face, the first sound did not come from his own fist. Instead, his own cheek took a heavy blow.

The thug let go of Touma and slumped to the ground. With a pained expression, he looked back at one of his friends.

"You bastard, Sho! What are you doing?" he yelled with a twisted face.

"Eh? No... it wasn't me!" The thug named Sho instinctively looked at his own fist, then quickly waved his hands to deny it.

However, his words left everyone present, including Touma and Mikoto, speechless. So many people just saw you swing your fist; are you lying with your eyes wide open?

"Wait... wait, I... I can't control myself?!" Sho said with a terrified face. At the same time, his hands didn't hesitate at all, landing blow after blow on the fallen thug.

"Hey, stop it!" Another thug couldn't stand it anymore. He grabbed Sho with both hands, trying to stop the infighting.

Unexpectedly, the moment he was grabbed, Sho's leg bent at an angle impossible for a normal person. His heel kicked the back of the other thug's head with force.

"The peacemaker thug fainted on the spot. At the same time, a raw, ragged scream tore through the alley."

"Ah! My leg! It's broken! It's definitely broken!"

"Hey, this is really wrong!"

No matter how stupid the thugs were, they realized something was off. They all took several steps back to create a safe distance. They looked at Touma and Mikoto with suspicion.

"Um, just to be clear, I don't know anything about this." The confused Touma scratched the back of his head sheepishly. He then offered a kind suggestion.

"Maybe you should take your friend to the hospital first."

"Tch, what a total pushover," Mikoto clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction. She clearly didn't have any sympathy for the plight of these punks.

Before the thugs could respond, something even more exaggerated happened. Sho suddenly soared into the air and rushed toward them with a panicked expression.

First came a series of flying kicks, then a triple kick. After that, an even more ridiculous "Hundred-Crack Kick" appeared, looking just like a move from an arcade game.

Following several consecutive wails of pain, the remaining thugs quickly met the same fate as their friends.

In a few moments, the alley was filled with thugs lying on the ground. Sho was completely limp, looking like he had been "broken" as he lay there unable to get up.

The only two people left standing, Touma and Mikoto, looked at each other. Just as Touma planned to slip away, he saw his own right hand suddenly rise.

When he noticed this, Touma felt a wave of horror. His right hand was being controlled?!

His right hand was supposed to be immune to special powers like supernatural abilities.

"Oh my, it looks like the Blood Manipulation was a success." Tsukasa's voice came from above, sounding a bit surprised.

The culprit was, of course, Tsukasa. He used Blood Manipulation to control one of the thugs, taking command of his body and making him perform movements that normal people could hardly track.

As for the outcome, the guy probably ended up with multiple fractures.

Tsukasa had always been confused about how Blood Manipulation was used. People condensed blood into bullets and fired them faster than sound. While the power sounded good, if you can control blood, why not just make the enemy's blood explode?

Or was it that those weak sorcerers could only control their own blood and hadn't reached a level like Ryomen Sukuna?

At the same time, through controlling blood, Tsukasa seemed to have gained some experience in manipulating liquids. If he researched this thoroughly, creating a new cursed technique might not be difficult.

The Ryomen Sukuna status he inherited wasn't limited to the body and abilities; more importantly, it included Sukuna's terrifying talent.

The two instinctively looked toward the source of the voice, but they saw nothing. Suddenly, a figure appeared in the corner of their eyes. They turned their heads in shock and saw Tsukasa standing right between them.

"So fast?!" Both of them thought at the same time. They immediately took several steps back. A smile appeared on Mikoto's face as she looked at Tsukasa with an intense desire to fight.

Just by the speed he showed earlier, she could see he was powerful. He was definitely a rare opponent. Electricity sparked around her, making her bangs flutter. She said to Tsukasa with great interest.

"Let's have a duel! Old man!"

"..." Tsukasa was speechless. Old man? Honestly, am I really that old? He rubbed the beard on his chin.

"Maybe I should find some time to take care of this beard."

Seeing her request ignored, a vein popped on Mikoto's forehead. The lightning around her quickly gathered into a spear of blue light.

"I said, listen to what I'm saying!"

As she shouted, the lightning spear flew out at high speed. Touma instinctively tried to jump in front of Tsukasa to block it, but Tsukasa held him back.

Next, the lightning spear hit Tsukasa's outstretched left palm. With a gentle squeeze, Tsukasa crushed the spear instantly. It turned into disorganized currents that flowed out, giving the unconscious thugs on the ground another full-body shock.

"You're just a young girl, but you've got a real temper. Also, I'm only twenty-three years old. Don't just go calling me an old man."

Tsukasa pointed at Mikoto with dissatisfaction and corrected her seriously.

"Ho ho, so you really are strong?! Come on, duel with me!" Mikoto saw Tsukasa crush her lightning spear so easily and yelled at him with excitement.

"Have you watched too much battle manga, or played too many games?" Tsukasa's mouth twitched, and a drop of cold sweat fell from his forehead.

He hadn't thought Mikoto was this obsessed with fighting before. Now that he was facing her, he realized how difficult she could be.

"Um, maybe we should call an ambulance first. I think they're about to die." Touma was clearly more concerned about the thugs twitching on the ground. He pointed at them and said to Tsukasa and Mikoto.

"Whatever," Mikoto and Tsukasa said at the same time without caring. This left Touma speechless. Even if they are thugs, they're still people!
