Chapter 50 - Chapter Fifty: Black Flash Duo

Chapter Fifty: Black Flash Duo

The duo fighting had reached their absolute limits at this moment. Both realized the danger of these bomb-like attacks—Geto's Cursed Spirit Bomb technique was terrifying in every sense of the word, with enormously powerful attack range and wide-area effect. The only person who could survive this wide-range attack was Gojo Satoru using Infinity. But for these two, reaching Geto's body in a normal way was impossible.

Tick-tick-tick went the seconds in Obito's head. Tick-tick-tick like a time bomb of his own.

But in the meantime, Obito spoke from atop a tree, his body dodging and weaving as he pushed himself forward, trying to avoid a precise bomb heading directly toward him. The sphere whistled past his ear with a FWOOSH that left his hair ruffled and his heart rate elevated.

"One minute!" Obito screamed at the top of his lungs toward Yuta. "Just one minute! One minute!"

His voice carried across the burning forest, over the CRACKLE of flames consuming what remained of the trees, past the THUD-THUD-THUD of debris still raining from previous explosions. It reached Geto, who responded with that maddening laugh—the laugh of someone who'd stopped caring about anything except destruction.

"Yes! One minute!" Geto called back, his voice carrying that layered harmonic quality of someone channeling a thousand cursed spirits simultaneously. "One minute! One minute and I'll eliminate you both together and obtain what I want!"

He moved his body, riding a curse that resembled an enormous insect, ascending toward the sky to stay out of the duo's attack range. The BUZZ of the insect's wings mixed with the CRACKLE of flames below—a symphony of chaos.

He doesn't have reverse cursed technique, Geto reminded himself. Didn't heal his body at this moment. Physically, he's become very weak. Blood barely stops falling. His back hurts like hell.

But he didn't need to care about that. He'd activated a binding vow—sacrificing the curses around him to form cursed spheres that launched destructive explosions. Wide-range. Devastating power. All at the cost of the curses he sacrificed.

Currently, I have dozens of first-grade curses, Geto calculated. Each of these curses can generate an explosion capable of destroying anyone without defensive techniques. Those two don't have defensive techniques.

His eyes tracked the battlefield below.

Okkotsu Yuta has Rika, the Queen of Curses. But at this moment, she's been surrounded by the other curses I controlled to keep her out of the way while I kill the boy from the other side.

Obito Zenin—very fast. Can interact with bomb movements and predict locations. His speed is quick. But there's something bothering me.

Geto's brow furrowed.

He said he needs another minute. What does that mean? Does it mean he wants to execute some technique and needs charging time? Extracting his cursed energy?

He smiled coldly while launching three cursed energy bombs—compressed explosions that detonated across the forest, turning most of it to burning wreckage. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. Black smoke billowed upward, thick and choking, carrying the acrid smell of destruction.

"There'll be no way you can do anything to me!" Geto called down, his voice carrying over the chaos. "I just want you to try!"

Provoking him now will help me, Geto thought. If either of them advances into range, I'll strike a bomb directly in their face. Even if I'm inside the blast range, I'll use a curse to absorb the attack while one or both of them suffer a direct explosion.

His plan was solid. His execution was flawless.

What Geto didn't realize at that moment was that the counter in Obito's head was working at maximum possible capacity.

58 seconds, Obito counted. 57 seconds. 56 seconds.

He was counting seconds with every possible fiber of his being. At the same time, he was evading explosions—dodge left, FWOOSH past his shoulder—and ensuring Yuta was doing the same. All of this was coordination between them, happening at speeds Geto couldn't perceive.

45 seconds. 44 seconds. 43 seconds.

This continued for several seconds before Obito felt it—the return of his cursed technique to maximum potential once again.

His eyes widened. His lips curved.

"NOW YUTA!" Obito screamed at the top of his lungs. "DO IT!"

---

Cursed energy exploded in the direction where Yuta was standing.

Hidden Kenjaku noticed it. Geto Suguru, flying in the sky, noticed it. This cursed energy had reached its absolute limit—and Yuta Okkotsu's eyes had turned red.

Three tomoe appeared in each eye, spinning with impossible speed. Yuta's voice rang out loud and clear as he called to Obito:

"LET'S DO IT, SENPAI!"

Then Yuta vanished from his position.

Information began flooding into his head at tremendous speed. He could now use the Sharingan technique—his eyes could see cursed energy, and everything around him slowed to a crawl. Not just that—he could control cursed energy much better now, and his physical strength multiplied several times without him even realizing it, thanks to better cursed energy control.

How useful this eye is, Yuta thought while surging toward Geto. It never stops being useful.

He rocketed forward, body cutting through air with a WHOOSH that left contrails behind.

---

On the other side, Geto couldn't believe his eyes.

He watched Okkotsu charging toward him like a madman, evading bombs with impossible precision. The BOOM of explosions behind him, the CRACKLE of dying forest, the SHING of his katana moving at insane speeds—all of it created a symphony of survival that shouldn't have been possible.

His sword is moving at crazy speed, Geto observed. Interacting with moments in less than a fraction of a second.

Geto made his insect curse fly higher, trying to escape this problem and avoid any way of reaching him. But on the other side, he didn't notice Obito's movement.

Obito was smiling with the maximum possible happiness while watching from the side what was happening—Yuta's insane charge, his impossible evasion, his growing power. Obito released a crazy laugh, feeling like his brain was about to explode.

He's at maximum craziness now, Obito thought. Maximum stage. He wants to kill Geto no matter the cost. End this man who could be the key to preventing all future events.

He surged toward Rika, the Queen of Curses, who had been fighting an army of curses. With movements exceeding sound multiple times—CRACK of sonic booms echoing behind him—he tore through every curse, shredding them with precision that left nothing but dissipating energy.

RIP. TEAR. DESTROY.

He freed the Queen, who released a loud sound—"YUTA!"—before surging toward her master.

---

Finally, Geto noticed this.

His eyes widened at this change in the battle's movement. But his brain was already working on a strategy.

I must prevent him from reaching me at any cost, Geto calculated. It seems that boy has used the other boy's technique.

His cursed energy sensing allowed him to see Yuta's energy flow—previously irregular, wasteful, inefficient. Now it had improved several times. Not just that—his speed, his reactions, his reflexes had surpassed their previous limits multiple times in a single moment.

And something more important than anything else caught Geto's attention:

Yuta's eyes had become red. Exactly like Obito's.

He used his cursed technique to use Obito's technique, Geto realized, and the thought made him crazy. Is that possible this easily?

But that didn't change his movements. He used his flying curse and tried to fly further, creating distance. But with his enhanced power, Yuta activated Kuryouki's adhesion ability—SHINK—and then launched himself using a tree as a launchpad into the air.

"Where do you think you're going?" Yuta called out, his voice carrying over the wind. "This is your end!"

Geto laughed while looking at this crazy behavior. He couldn't believe Yuta had left himself defenseless.

"You're the crazy one, kid!" Geto shouted back. "You'll die now!"

He concentrated his cursed energy and launched a spherical bomb toward Yuta, who was airborne. In normal circumstances, the explosion would happen immediately. But before that could happen, Yuta smiled and screamed with all his voice:

"GO, RIKA!"

Before the bomb touched him, it was thrown in another direction—WHUMP—causing a shockwave with a BOOM that uprooted the ground. The Queen of Curses was flying through the air with Yuta directly above her.

But he didn't stop there. The Queen of Curses surged forward, carrying Yuta on top of her, heading directly toward Geto, whose eyes widened at this sight.

I was sure I'd surrounded the Queen of Curses, Geto thought, disbelief flooding his system. But thanks to the distraction, I didn't notice Obito eliminated the curses and allowed the Queen to escape and come help.

That wasn't all.

From afar, Obito surged like a madman toward the location Geto and Yuta were heading to. His eyes were wide, a smile painted on his face—he wasn't going to waste this opportunity. So much so that he was screaming like a crazy person:

"GO YUTA! DON'T HESITATE! DO IT!"

Obito's loud voice annoyed Geto, who focused on the direction Obito was coming from—leaping between trees like a ghost, crazy and impossibly fast. WHOOSH between branches. CRACK off trunks. THUD from takeoffs.

Geto noticed Obito no longer cared about how much cursed energy he was releasing. He was just charging like a madman, increasing his speed to maximum limit.

But I don't know why he's doing that, Geto thought. Even if Okkotsu has Rika, I can still handle things. And Obito, consuming his cursed energy by increasing speed, won't be useful.

Of course, this would be true if he understood the situation.

But at that moment, Rika's eyes had reached maximum anger.

She released a crazy roar—a sound that wasn't sound but presence, a wave of force that erupted from her being. FWOOSH. That wind wave dissipated the body of the curse allowing Geto to fly.

I don't believe the power of that shockwave, Geto thought wildly, looking in that direction with crazed eyes.

He was now in the situation he'd witnessed Yuta in moments ago. Suspended in air. Unable to move or defend himself.

The Queen of Curses grabbed Yuta firmly in her grip before hearing him say:

"THROW ME, RIKA!"

Like an excellent baseball pitcher, the Queen of Curses' eyes moved toward Geto. She grabbed Yuta's body like a cannonball and launched him with crazy speed—so fast that Yuta vanished and appeared directly before Geto, who couldn't see the movement at all.

A blink. An instant. Faster than perception.

But Yuta, using the Sharingan's dynamic vision, could interact with the terrifying speed he'd been thrown at. He adjusted his body into a precise striking position.

"TAKE THIS, YOU BASTARD!"

No hesitation. His body filled with cursed energy. He looked toward the school building they were hurtling toward—smiled—and increased his cursed energy to the maximum possible limit.

In a fraction of a second, he transformed into an infinite number of moments.

In less than a blink, his fist was heading there—all his cursed energy forming into black-colored power.

Impossible, Geto thought, nearly going crazy as he watched Yuta's cursed energy transform into black. Is he going to use Black Flash?

He was sure it was impossible for anyone to reach Black Flash this quickly. The technique required luck. Required chance. Required the universe aligning in exactly the right way.

But at this moment, Yuta's smile and his crimson eyes—thanks to the Sharingan—confirmed to Geto that this scene was expected.

And with a sound like BOOM, Yuta's fist pierced the space between them.

With Black Flash's destructive power, lightning spread across a 10-meter radius. CRACKLE-CRACKLE-BOOM. Geto's body transformed into a cannonball piercing the sound barrier toward the ground—FWOOSH—while he vomited blood like a fountain and released a terrifying scream that lasted less than a second but was audible as a whistle due to falling speed.

SHRIEEEK—

---

From the ground, Obito was charging like a madman in the direction Geto's body was falling.

Maximum possible speed. His Sharingan eyes analyzed the trajectory with incredible precision, predicting the landing spot. So he surged forward, passing through trees like a ghost at maximum possible speed—WHOOSH through branches, CRACK off trunks, THUD from the ground.

He didn't care about consuming all his cursed energy. He aimed to reach that location as fast as possible. That goal increased his concentration to maximum possible limit.

In one second, he arrived there.

His body trembled from the cursed energy he was releasing at this moment. Time seemed to stop due to reaching the maximum limit of the Sharingan technique.

Obito screamed.

His fist transformed into black due to the immense amount of cursed energy. In less than a fraction of a second, his fist was aimed directly at Geto's head—ready to explode it with one punch.

Black Flash technique—

It was a fraction of a second away from striking that head and turning it to ash.

But before that could happen, Obito's body froze.

His eyes widened.

His body felt extreme danger.

A ball of fire—from hell itself—was surging toward him at tremendous speed at this moment.

What the—

Everything had slowed down so much that Obito could only watch calmly as the fireball headed toward him. It looked like lava. This lava ball heading directly toward him—certainly.

What's happening? Is this a technique from one of Geto's curses? But can it be this fast? I'm at maximum concentration right now. Black Flash technique at maximum possible limit. There shouldn't be anyone who can notice me or strike me while I'm in this state of speed and concentration.

Yet the fireball heading toward Obito moved at the same speed.

If I punch Geto, I'll be burned in a second. If I don't and avoid it, Geto will certainly survive my attack and charge toward the school, falling there like a cannonball.

Between this and that, he moved his Black Flash technique and his fist toward the air.

He compressed it to maximum possible limit.

And with a sound like BOOM, his fist pierced the fireball in the air while Obito's body flew toward the forest like a madman—CRASH through branches, THUD against trees, SKID across the ground—before finally stopping.

From the other side, Geto's body had struck the school building.

CRASH-BOOM-SMASH.

He pierced through it, causing many cement pillars to fall. THUD-THUD-THUD of collapsing structure. CRACK of breaking concrete. WHOOSH of dust and debris spreading everywhere.

At the same moment, the fireball had pierced the space where Obito had been in the air, struck the ground, and burned a large part of the earth as if it were a ball from hell.

"SENPAI!"

Yuta's voice pierced the chaos. He was flying using the Queen of Curses, who arrived beside Obito in a short period. He looked at the fireball that had almost hit Obito and said with astonishment:

"Who launched that fireball? That wasn't a curse from him!"

He was sure because he'd been looking at the direction the fireball came from, and the Sharingan was activated. So he understood that this curse—which launched the fireball—must be special grade level, and crazily powerful to strike with such precision and terrifying speed.

Obito moved his head.

"No," he said, his voice rough. "There's certainly someone who launched their technique toward me. This technique is very powerful and shouldn't even belong to a normal curse. Certainly."

Yuta nodded in agreement and looked in the direction the fireball had come from.

On the other side, Obito looked toward the location where Geto's body had fallen. He thought while looking at that place:

It's impossible for him to move after receiving such a precise punch and this fall. That was enough to end him. He'll be unconscious at this moment.

But while both were thinking this, the night sky was transforming.

Clouds gathered. Cursed spirits that had stopped for one second began rotating, forming quickly into a circle of energy that released a large amount of lightning. In mere seconds, it transformed into an energy ball resembling a bomb—but over a wider area.

Obito and Yuta, with the Sharingan currently activated, could see the explosion's power. Even if they surged to escape, the entire area would be erased at the moment of impact.

This technique is very fast, Obito realized. Incredibly powerful. And impossible to use this easily.

---

On the other side, Geto was vomiting blood like a fountain—but he didn't stop.

His eyes were crazy. He was laughing.

He remembered that scene from years ago, where he died before Toji Fushiguro. That hadn't been enough. His body was nearly torn apart. He'd received two Black Flashes from two people possessing high offensive power at close range.

But even that didn't make him feel fear.

It made him crazy.

Because it reminded him of that weak moment he'd wanted to forget his entire life.

So at this moment, he wanted to die rather than allow either of these two to remain alive.

I won't die this time and leave someone who humiliated me alive, Geto swore.

Using all his cursed energy, he transformed the curses' domain into a ball of cursed energy about to explode like a bomb. To accelerate the process, he used a binding vow—affecting himself with the explosion too. This way, he accelerated the attack's power to maximum possible limit and launched it toward the ground in one moment.

The explosion's power will be capable of ending all life in the explosion area and at Tokyo Jujutsu Academy, Geto calculated. This way, I'll eliminate Obito Zenin and Okkotsu Yuta.

As for his goal of capturing the Queen of Curses—he'd smiled about that long ago. After receiving this strike, he wouldn't be able to defeat them through any normal method. So he chose to die with them at this moment.

No matter what happens, Geto swore, I won't allow myself to suffer this humiliation again.

---

Obito and Yuta didn't realize this until this moment.

The cursed energy of the curses gathered and formed what resembled a total destruction bomb about to explode.

But at this moment, Yuta surged into the air before Obito could speak.

He launched directly toward the bomb. Beside him, Rika had lifted him into the air and released all her cursed energy.

In Yuta's head, memories of the past flashed—his childhood with Rika. When she died in that accident, and he cursed her without meaning to, transforming her into a curse. That had made him sad his entire life.

But he never blamed her once.

Because after she became a curse, she never did anything wrong. She only wanted to protect him.

I was kneeling on the ground in a white place, Yuta remembered. Before a small hand touched me.

He looked up and saw Rika's smile—the age she'd been when she died. She said to him while he cried, apologizing to her:

"Don't ever cry. I only wanted to protect you. Thank you for helping me stay with you for this period. I'm happy because you always remembered me and never pushed my memory away."

How could he hate her?

At this moment, he wanted to tell her she was the most important person in his life. So he said:

"I love you. I've always loved you, Rika-chan."

That moment, his body returned—and Yuta looked at the bomb again.

But this time, he was smiling. A smile of relief.

Rika's energy surged to maximum possible limit after reaching her maximum feelings. Her eyes opened toward the sky, and all her cursed energy transformed directly into her mouth, forming a ball of total destruction concentrated directly toward the sky.

Yuta spoke:

"Rika... thank you for everything. This time will be the last time together. This is our combined strike."

He didn't delay. He released all his cursed energy toward the total destruction ball that Rika had completed.

"THIS IS OUR COMBINED ATTACK—THE LOVE CANNON BOMB!"

---

At that moment, from afar, every nearby person could see it.

Naoya, fighting Yurami. Yurami herself. Kenjaku, hidden and watching. Obito, recovering from the fireball. And Geto, ready to die after launching his strongest attack.

They all watched the Queen of Curses and Yuta Okkotsu release their cursed energy like madmen.

A ball formed in the sky—pink transforming to purple, concentrating to red at maximum possible limit. In the shape of a heart. In the center of the Queen of Curses' mouth.

After one second, a sound shook the region and all the space around the air.

BOOOOOOOOOM—

A brilliant beam launched toward Geto's Cursed Spirit Explosion Bomb, which had been threatening to destroy the entire area.

CRASH-BOOM-SHATTER.

The sound of impact. A shockwave exploded with lightning. The power of Rika and Yuta's cannon pierced the entire explosion and pushed it backward.

At the moment the bomb exploded, the sky turned red. A pressure wave surged toward all areas of Tokyo Jujutsu Academy.

Obito panicked from this attack before the shockwave surged toward him. Not just him—everyone in the area felt the shockwave of extreme wind and used their cursed energy to protect themselves.

But that wasn't enough.

The explosion's power generated a dust wave and uprooted trees from the ground. CRACK of breaking trunks. WHOOSH of displaced air. BOOM of secondary explosions. Everything exploded with secondary lightning formed due to extreme pressure.

---

In the end, Obito looked through the Sharingan at Yuta's body—falling from the sky.

He took a deep breath while finally surging to catch him.

FWOOSH through the air. THUD as he caught the falling body.

Before Rika—the Queen of Curses—disappeared, looking at Yuta's body and saying:

"I'll leave you this gift. I just hope you remain and live a happy life forever, Yuta-kun."

Her form faded. Dissipated. Became memory.

And Obito held his comrade, standing in the middle of destruction, wondering if any of them would actually survive this night.
