Chapter 14 - Chapter 13: The Archfiend Single-handedly Topples a Mountain

That night, news of the Divine Beast, the Vermilion Bird's birth spread like wildfire throughout the entire Cultivation World.

The Vermilion Bird's birth drew countless people to fight over it, but just last night, the aura of the Divine Beast, the Vermilion Bird, vanished without a trace. Now, people from both the Immortal and Demonic Paths are searching for the Divine Beast, the Vermilion Bird's whereabouts, but none of them know that the Vermilion Bird has already been bonded to someone. And that someone is an unborn child.

After a night, the fires in Breezewind Town had subsided.

Last night, watching the flames spread, Javier Sinclair had casually set up a barrier before he left. As a result, the fire only burned Breezewind Town; it never spread, leaving the surrounding areas completely untouched.

As for the people who had been driven more than ten li away, they had all seen the blaze that lit up half the sky last night, as well as the pillar of light that erupted when the Divine Beast was born.

It wasn't until this morning, hearing it from the Demon Cultivators and other Cultivators entering and leaving the town, that they learned all of Breezewind Town had been burned to the ground. They had only managed to escape such a fate because they had been driven out ahead of time.

Even if they were simple folk, they had still heard of the Vermilion Bird Fire. Most of them were commoners or Low-level cultivators. If they had remained in the town last night, they would have been burned to ashes by now.

The bad news?

Their homes were gone.

Burned to cinders!

The good news was that they were still alive. Their families were all safe.

And they had been saved by Demon Cultivators.

'How was that possible!'

But before they could even process this, everyone except for the old, the weak, the women, and the children was rounded up and sent to build new homes.

It was on this day that they saw him: the legendary Archfiend, a ruthless killer who slayed without batting an eye; the Blood-Venerate of the Bloodfiend Den, the greatest of the Demonic Sects; the number one Demon Cultivator in the world, Javier Sinclair.

He strode through the air, and with his power alone, he toppled a mountain, turning it into a flat plain.

The people present only felt the earth tremble for a moment before they saw the mountain that had blocked their view, right before their very eyes, instantly transform into a vacant expanse stretching as far as the eye could see.

At the same time, a voice descended from the sky.

"From now on, this will be the new site for Breezewind Town. Build it within three days."

Hearing this voice, the massive throng of disciples from the Demonic Sects dropped to one knee, placing a hand over their chests in a salute.

"Yes, The Exalted One."

Everyone who witnessed this scene was dumbfounded.

It was only after the figure in the sky vanished that they finally processed it: the man who had flattened a mountain was none other than the notoriously infamous Archfiend.

Only, he was nothing like what they had heard.

Rumor had it that the Blood-Venerate of the Bloodfiend Den had blood-red eyes and a monstrous appearance, that he devoured raw flesh and drank fresh blood. But the man they saw now was as handsome as a painting, exceptionally beautiful, with such fine features.

With a face like that, he really didn't fit the title of "Archfiend."

The disciples of the Bloodfiend Den swept their gazes over the crowd.

"What are you looking at? Is our Exalted One someone you're worthy of looking at? Keep staring and I'll gouge your eyes out."

Hearing this, the crowd quickly lowered their heads.

The scene just now had been a bit too much for them to take in.

If it weren't for the black and red aura swirling around the Blood-Venerate, you would never have guessed from his noble appearance that he was the head of the Demonic Sects.

At that moment, a saying came to their minds. 'Don't fear a wicked Demon, fear a handsome one; he'll make your eyes follow his face and forget all else.'

"Look, Elder Lowell is here."

Not long after Javier Sinclair left, a Spiritual Ship appeared in the sky. Its flags were black and red, emblazoned with the ancient totem of the Bloodfiend Den.

The standard attire for the disciples of the Bloodfiend Den was either black robes or tight-fitting black garments.

Standing at the forefront was Elder Lawrence Lowell of the Bloodfiend Den's Bloodfury Hall.

He took out new architectural plans, summoned the artisans who had been captured from other places, and began to study the blueprints with them, officially commencing the reconstruction of Breezewind Town.

When Old Man Warren, previously the most senior elder of Breezewind Town, saw the blueprints, his jaw nearly hit the floor.

'This is Breezewind Town?' The original town, with its ten thousand residents, was already quite large, but according to these plans, the new town would be more than ten times bigger.

Although his mind was filled with questions, the fierce and menacing looks of the Demon Cultivators made it clear they weren't to be trifled with. Fearing for their lives, the townsfolk dared not ask too much and could only lower their heads and get to work.

They followed the disciples of the Bloodfiend Den, digging foundations and hauling timber and stone... All the wood and stone had been sourced from various mountains by the Bloodfiend Den disciples and transported here by Spiritual Ship.

These Demon Cultivators were all immensely powerful, able to casually lift massive stones weighing hundreds, even thousands of jin. For them, a small matter like building houses was no difficult task.
