Seething, Finn Hawthorne let out a cold laugh. "Fine, let him come. I'll meet this guy myself and see what makes him so high and mighty."
Faye Vaughn stood on her tiptoes and snatched her phone back.
She found a nice sweater in her suitcase, went into the bathroom to change, and touched up her makeup while she was at it.
Seeing how seriously she was taking this, Finn said snidely, "He must be some rich old boss for you to put in this much effort. Is he fifty? Bald?"
Faye thought about what Vincent Hawthorne looked like and replied, "He's young and handsome, with a full head of hair, so you don't have to worry."
Finn snorted. "Younger than me?"
Faye looked at him. "Not quite. But he's more accomplished than you."
Finn was speechless.
He owned shares in the Hawthorne Group and could live a life of luxury without ever starting his own business.
But now, that very fact seemed like a shortcoming compared to the other man.
