Finn Hawthorne ignored her, turning to Faye Vaughn and replying, "I'll be right there."
Serena Beckett gritted her teeth in secret.

'So what if she's sick? What gives her the right to make Brother Finn stay with her at the hospital overnight?'

'A woman like her would be better off dead.'
Suppressing her rage, Serena Beckett spoke in a gentle, thoughtful voice, "Brother Finn, why don't you go get changed? I'll pop out and buy some fruit. I can't visit a patient empty-handed."
Without waiting for Finn Hawthorne to refuse, she turned and ran off.
Finn Hawthorne couldn't have cared less where she was going. He just turned and went back into the room.
