As Faye Vaughn expected, Zane Shelby's "interest" in her hadn't diminished.
Somehow, he had managed to find out where she lived.
The next day, as Faye Vaughn was heading out to eat, he cornered her at the entrance to her residential complex.
"Miss Vaughn."
Zane Shelby was impeccably dressed. The expensive, handmade bespoke suit made him look gentlemanly and refined, a stark contrast to his sharp and ostentatious features.
"Are you looking for me for a reason, Mr. Shaw?" Faye Vaughn took a step back, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow as she eyed him.
"Of course I am." Zane Shelby was blunt, pulling out a cashier's check and holding it out to Faye Vaughn.
Faye Vaughn didn't take it, but she glanced at it.
Eight figures, seven zeros.
Exactly ten million.
He certainly was generous, with the ostentatious air of a man who was loaded.
"With this much money, are you trying to buy my life, Mr. Shaw?" Faye Vaughn looked away from the check, a faint smile playing on her lips.
