Vivian Windsor chimed in, "That's right, Miss Vaughn. Why must you insist on going against the Hawthorne family? What kind of poison have Liam Linden and his mother been feeding you?"
Faye Vaughn narrowed her eyes at her.
Vivian Windsor feigned fright, shrinking back toward Vincent Hawthorne. "You've eaten the Hawthorne family's food and worn their clothes for years," she said, "yet you do something so treacherous and ungrateful. That's just low."
Faye Vaughn scoffed. "I refuse to believe you don't know that I returned the thirty-six million to Wyatt Hawthorne. I haven't taken advantage of the Hawthorne family."
'If anything,' she thought, 'I'm the one who wasted three years of my life on them.'
Vivian Windsor put on a righteous expression. "No matter what, you shouldn't be helping the Hawthorne family's enemies."
