The chief spoke up at the opportune moment. "I'll send someone to the restaurant to get the surveillance footage now. I just hope it hasn't been recorded over yet."
The surveillance footage at some restaurants and buildings isn't kept for long and is easily overwritten. They had to get there as quickly as possible.
