"You look worried?"
Yu Lian rode a cloud up, landing on the eaves of the small courtyard's roof. She found her usual spot, her emotions a mix of joy at being home and concern for Wang Ping.
Wang Ping had nothing to hide from Yu Lian. He reached out with his right hand and tapped lightly, first activating the illusion of the Water Moon Bell, then the courtyard's seldom-used isolation Array. He replied to her, "I don't know if Xiao Shan Lord's advancement was successful. It's best to be cautious."
Yu Lian lounged under the eaves, habitually glancing toward the spot where Tongyu Taoist liked to appear. "In that case," she said, "you shouldn't have come back here."
A glint appeared in Wang Ping's eyes. After a few breaths of silence, he looked at Yu Lian and said, "Even if things get bad, I want to face the hardship together with everyone at Qianmu Temple!"
Yu Lian tilted her head in thought for a moment. "That's true!" she replied.
