"I didn't poison her," Mae Sullivan murmured. "I resented her, but not enough to poison her to death."
Renee Jennings could tell she didn't seem to be lying.
But Dodo, the little ant, had said that Mae Sullivan admitted to Connor Kent that she was the one who killed Grace Sullivan.
Renee Jennings said slowly, "You say you didn't poison Grace Sullivan, so why did you admit to Connor Kent that you killed her?"
Upon hearing this, Mae Sullivan's eyelashes trembled, and a look of shock filled her eyes. "Is that what Connor Kent said?"
She suddenly started to laugh, but her expression was filled with sorrow. "He has disappointed me beyond belief. My love for him has been completely consumed by his heartlessness."
Renee Jennings and Sawyer exchanged a look, and she asked softly, "So, did Grace Sullivan's death have anything to do with you?"
