The color drained from Vincent Morgan's face, his eyes filled with disbelief. "How could this be?"
"Life is unpredictable," Zachary Morgan sighed. "It seems the Morgan family and she were just not fated to be."
"She was so young..." Vincent Morgan's brows knitted together as he murmured, "She never even had a chance to live a good life..."
Zachary Morgan said nothing, but a hint of regret showed on his face.
After a long moment, Vincent Morgan walked out of the study, his expression somber.
"Brother." Seeing him, Yvonne Morgan immediately hurried over, asking worriedly, "What happened? What did Dad say?"
Vincent Morgan opened his mouth, but no words came out. He shook his head. "It's nothing."
He started down the stairs.
Yvonne Morgan chased after him, asking anxiously, "Brother, how can it be nothing? You clearly look like something's wrong!"
"I want to be alone for a bit." With his long strides, Vincent Morgan walked straight toward the door.
