"Sigh," David Sawyer, Tina's husband, lamented. "Isn't this a little too cruel? Tina, Dan is your sister, after all."
Hearing her husband, Tina immediately shot back, "And Victor is my own son. Is a sister more important than a son?"
As soon as she finished, something else occurred to her. She reached out and twisted David's ear. "Are you feeling sorry for her? I knew it! You've got a thing for Danielle!"
"Ow, ow, ow! That hurts!" David wailed.
Tina let go, glaring at him in frustration. "Good thing she's dead. Otherwise, you two would've ended up hooking up behind my back sooner or later!"
"Yeah, and I saw my aunt making eyes at Dad all the time!" Victor chimed in, adding fuel to the fire.
Danielle couldn't believe it. 'My dear sister and nephew... actually making up stories like this about me.'
'And to think I'd been so good to them…'
As anger and sadness warred in her heart, Danielle also felt an immense sense of relief that she had met Renee Jennings.
