Phoebe Sawyer stared blankly at the line of people.
Sylvia Brooks didn't say anything either, her gaze lowered to her phone.
"Summer," Phoebe Sawyer suddenly called out softly.
Sylvia Brooks locked her phone and looked up at her. "What's wrong?"
Phoebe Sawyer looked back at her, her eyes slightly red. "Summer, that text message from the other day was real."
Sylvia Brooks frowned, asking in confusion, "What?"
"The text that said I'm not Mom's biological daughter..." Phoebe Sawyer's voice was choked with sobs. "It's true."
Sylvia Brooks's expression turned grave. "Phoebe, who told you it was true?"
"It was Mom." Phoebe Sawyer sniffled, sobbing as she spoke. "Tonight, after dinner, Mom and I were taking a walk at the villa, and she suddenly told me... that we're not related by blood."
There were other customers around, so Phoebe Sawyer buried her face in her hands, a suppressed sob escaping from her throat.
