Jane Sterling held the file on Susan Quinn's death, along with some evidence, and spoke in a low voice.
"So you had no idea about Susan Quinn's feelings for you?"
Julian Grant sighed, propping his cheek on his hand with a vexed expression.
"I know. It's perfectly normal for a lot of women to be into a handsome guy like me. It's not like I don't get girls hitting me up to flirt all the time. But we all know it's just for fun—no one takes it seriously! They know it themselves. With their status, there's no way they could ever marry into my family. They wouldn't even get past my parents."
"So, everyone's clear on the rules. It's all just a game. But who knew that Susan Quinn would actually try to sink her hooks into me!"
At the mention of this, Julian Grant suddenly exploded with emotion.
The police captain beside him slammed his hand on the table, his expression stern.
"Sit down and speak properly!"
Julian Grant sullenly sat back down and pouted.
