[IRIS POV]
'What do you think?' I retorted. 'Just leave and don't make things harder than it has to be. Your dear father seems to already know we are fated mates.'
'Impossible! We didn't tell anyone, how could he―' Caius's eyes darted to his father, and I inwardly rolled my eyes.
Way to make it obvious that we were talking about him. This man had no sense of stealth― case in point, kissing me in public where everyone could see us. It was a miracle that only Alpha Rufus saw us.
'He saw your little stunt earlier,' I interrupted him without mercy, letting some resentment slip through the mindlink. This mess was partly his fault.
Caius flinched.
'I didn't think anyone would see,' he mumbled.
'That's your problem; you never think,' I complained. 'And now look at what you've done.'
'If he knew about it, why is he still sending you off to Stonebreak? Alpha Gareth must know you aren't actually his daughter,' Caius protested.
