Synopsis
The northern duke of the Evarone Kingdom and its crown prince! I was transported into the novel I was reading after getting hit by the classic cliché truck-kun—as a commoner who somehow managed to catch the eye of both the duke and the crown prince because of my beauty! And according to the story, I’m supposed to choose between these two handsome guys! So… I made up my mind: I will choose them both! Everone Kingdom—this is the fantasy setting of the novel I read… The female lead is a commoner with healing powers who saved both the crown prince and the northern duke when they were chased by assassins and disguised as commoners. And that’s when these male leads become obsessed with her. It’s a story with a tragic ending—no matter who you choose, the other one goes crazy, leading to the deaths of both the female and male leads. So, as a girl from the modern world, I choose both! Did I die in the ending after my ridiculous choice? Find out~

Chapter 1 - finally!!!

Unlike everyone else, I, Jane, am permanently glued to my phone, scrolling through fantasy novels like my life depends on it.

There I am, sitting cross-legged on my bed, hair sticking out in a million directions, blanket half on, half off, and my cat glaring at me like I've personally offended the feline race. I'm laughing like a complete maniac.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THAT'S FUNNY AS HELL!!! OMG!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" I roar, tossing my phone onto the bed like it just delivered the punchline of the century. The cat jumps, my mug of cold tea teeters dangerously on the nightstand, and I don't care.

"FOR GOD'S SAKE, JANE!!! GO TO SLEEP ALREADY! YOU STILL HAVE CLASS TOMORROW!"

The voice slices through the chaos, making my door rattle like it might collapse.

That voice belongs to my mom, the human embodiment of fury with a sprinkle of disappointment.

"I'm sorryyyy!" I squeak, grabbing my phone again like a lifeline. My room smells vaguely of popcorn and strawberry lotion, my blankets are twisted into a chaotic nest, and my half-eaten bag of chips is still on the floor because apparently, I live in chaos and calories don't exist after midnight.

But can I stop reading? Absolutely not. I'm hopelessly addicted.

Especially historical fantasy novels. Those male leads with jawlines so sharp they could cut glass… and those girls—so breathtakingly beautiful that I half-suspect the author is personally tormenting me with perfection. It's cruel. And yet… I love it.

"Ha… if only I could go there..." I sigh dramatically, finally turning off my phone. My eyes sting, my cheeks hurt from laughing, and my cat gives me the kind of judgmental glare that says, you've officially lost it, human. I flop onto my pillow, pretending to be responsible.

Then… BAM.

"OH MY FREAKING GOD! WHO IS THIS BEAUTY?!?! FUCKKK! IT'S ME?!?!"

I scream at my reflection like someone just announced I'd won the lottery, inherited a kingdom, and found eternal youth all at once. My hair is somehow perfectly curled. My skin is flawless. My eyes sparkle like… like actual diamonds or maybe glitter—whatever, it doesn't matter, I'm gorgeous. Not even Hollywood could touch me.

"I can't believe I actually reincarnated into a historical novel! Hehehehehe~ Just you wait, Duke of the North—no, maybe the Crown Prince~ hehehe~ here I come, delicious-looking macaroons~"

I twirl in front of the mirror like a complete lunatic, flinging my arms dramatically as if announcing my royal presence to the fictional world. My feet nearly trip over the rug, my blanket slips off the bed, and my cat hisses like I've offended it personally. Whatever. Minor details.

Then—OUCH.

A sharp sting hits my cheek.

"Wake up already! This is why I told you to sleep early!"

My mom's voice, sharp and real, drags me violently back into reality.

Wait… so all of that—the crown prince, the macaroons, my glamorous new face—was just a dream???

I groan, burying my face into my pillow while the cat hops onto my chest, looking like it's judging every single life decision I've ever made. My phone glows ominously from the floor, taunting me with notifications from my favorite novel app.

I groan again. Because of course… I already know I'm going to stay up tonight and finish the story anyway.

My day became painfully bland after that. I really thought I had finally reincarnated or something.

Now reality feels extra boring, like someone drained all the color out of it.

"Ha… when the hell am I going to reincarnate????" I mutter under my breath. "Those macaroons really looked delicious. Pastries… I wonder what they taste like."

My stomach growls at the thought, and my heart aches just a little.

Others might say I'm way too obsessed with being reincarnated there… but who wouldn't???? I meannnn, come on!!! Being reincarnated into a historical fantasy novel is literally most girls' dream! And I, Jane, am proudly one of them.

My thoughts wander as I walk home, my backpack heavy on my shoulders while the sun slowly sinks into the sky. School just ended, yet it feels like nothing meaningful happened at all.

My life is… quite boring.

I grew up in a broken family. I don't even know who my dad is. The only thing people ever seem to notice about me is my face.

Well… at least I have this face.

I keep walking, still lost in my daydreams, replaying scenes of castles, ball gowns, and beautiful pastries—until—

HOOOOOONK!!!

The loud horn snaps me back to reality. I look up—

And realize it's me.

I'm the one about to get hit.

"Ah… fuc—"

Before I can even finish the word, something slams into me. My body flies back, the world spinning violently as pain explodes through me.

It was my fault for daydreaming, yeah… but damn.

It hurts.

So much.

My consciousness slowly begins to fade. The noise, the colors, the people—everything grows dim, like someone is lowering the brightness of the world.

And as I fall into the darkness, I can't help but think—

…Did I finally reincarnate this time?

Suddenly, a blinding light exploded around me, so bright it burned behind my eyes and made my vision blur.

When I finally came to my senses, I found myself standing in front of something… impossible.

A single, massive eye.

It floated in the endless white space, glowing softly, watching me like it could see straight through my soul.

"Child, what do you want?"

Its voice echoed from everywhere and nowhere at once.

Huh…? What is this giant eye? Am I still dreaming?

Before I could even open my mouth, the eye spoke again.

"Child, this is not a dream."

"AHHHHHH!!! GHOSTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs because WHAT IN THE FANTASY FINAL BOSS IS THIS BIG FLOATING EYEBALL IN FRONT OF ME??? Hell nahhhh! Did I finally go insane after reading thousands of fantasy novels???

I screamed inwardly, panicking so hard my thoughts were tripping over each other.

But the eye only blinked slowly, patiently… as if it had all the time in the universe.

"If I really went mad, then…" I swallowed. "…lemme make a crazy decision and go all out."

I straightened my back, clenched my fists, and shouted with my whole heart:

"Please send me into one of the historical fantasy novels I read, where I can be the most beautiful woman in that world!!! My partner should be ridiculously handsome too!!! Oh! And they should come from a powerful family—uhmm—and yeah!!! They should love me soooo muchhh!!!"

The words came spilling out like a broken dam, fueled by years of sleep deprivation and romantic delusions.

The eye stared at me silently, glowing faintly… as if questioning whether I was serious.

"Pleaseeeeeeeee…" I begged, pressing my palms together. Others might think I'm crazy for wishing this instead of something realistic, like going back to Earth… but this was my dream. My escape. My everything.

After a long pause, the eye finally spoke.

"Alright, child. Enjoy your journey."

And the light swallowed me whole.

And just like that, when I opened my eyes and slowly scanned my surroundings, I realized I was inside the same dream I had earlier—right before I got hit by that stupid truck.

"Ha… that liar eye…" I muttered. "Tsk!!! Actually making me so hopeful."

I slapped my own face, hard.

SMACK.

"Ow—WHAT THE—"

It hurt. Like, actually hurt. But the world around me didn't disappear.

"…WTF? Yeah, hell nahhhh…" I whispered.

Panicking, I rushed to the wooden bucket of water beside me and bent down to see my reflection.

And then—

I froze.

Even I was mesmerized by how beautiful this girl was.

"HOLY SHIT!!! FOR REAL????"

My heart pounded as I stared at the unfamiliar face—soft features, clear skin, shining eyes, hair that looked like it belonged in a shampoo commercial. I slowly touched my cheek just to make sure I was real.

Then I scanned the room again.

"Eh… but why am I inside a wooden house?" I mumbled. "Hmmm… this is frustrating."

The walls were old but clean, the floor made of rough wooden planks, sunlight slipping through small gaps. It looked nothing like a palace. More like a survival game starter hut.

I pushed the door open and stepped outside—

Only to freeze in place.

A vast forest stretched endlessly in every direction.

Towering trees. Thick vines. Shadows that felt way too alive.

I was completely alone.

"…What?" I whispered. "Am I some kind of elf? Why the hell is this girl living here?!"

A shiver ran down my spine as the cold air brushed my skin and the forest creaked around me.

"UGHHH!!!! DAMN THAT EYE BASTARD!!!" I screamed at the sky. "YOU JUST WANT TO KILL ME, HUH?!?!"

The forest answered with silence.

And my adventure began… in the worst possible place.

I immediately ran back inside the house and slammed the door shut, locking it like my life depended on it.

The silence was… terrifying.

No birds.

No wind.

No insects.

Just pure, creepy stillness.

I stood there, holding my breath like if I made even the smallest sound, the forest itself would notice me.

Then—

Footsteps.

Slow. Dragging. Getting closer.

My heart dropped straight into my stomach.

"I–Is anyone here?"

A hoarse, weak voice called from outside.

"Can you let us in?"

"HELL NO!!!" I screamed back, my hands shaking as I backed away from the door. "GO AWAY!!! I DON'T HAVE MONEY!!! I'M NOT WORTH ROBBING AND UHM— I DON'T TASTE GOOD!!! GO AWAY!!!!"

I just blurted out complete nonsense, hoping—praying—they would leave.

"W–We're not monsters…"

The voice coughed harshly.

"We won't eat you… Please…"

Then—

THUD!

The sound of a body hitting the ground made me jump.

"…What? Hello? Are you okay?" I called out, pressing my ear to the door.

No answer.

Panic crawled up my spine.

If they were truly hurt…

Did I just… kill them by not letting them in?

Me? A murderer?!

NOOOOO!!!

In a burst of guilt and fear, I yanked the door open.

And froze.

Two ridiculously handsome men were collapsed right in front of my house.

One had snow-white hair.

The other had golden blond hair.

"What the hell is this world…" I whispered. "A world of models????"

I rushed to their side, gently shaking them.

"H–Hello? Are you okay?"

Then I saw it.

Blood.

So much blood.

It stained their clothes, dark and terrifying. My hands started to shake. I had never seen this much blood in my entire life.

"I—I don't know what to do…" I whimpered.

Without thinking, I pressed my hands over the wound.

And suddenly—

A faint, warm glow escaped from my palms.

The light wrapped around their bodies, slowly closing the wounds.

"W–What's this?" I gasped. "What's going on?!"

The white-haired man was the first to open his eyes. He stared at me, shocked.

"…A healer?" he whispered.

Healer?

What healer???

Like—what—am I a walking hospital now?! I don't remember reading any novel where I get healing powers!!!

Then suddenly, like ice water being dumped on my head—

I remembered.

These two characters.

My face drained of color.

"OHHHH HELL NOOOOO!!!" I screamed internally. "YOU DAMNED EYE BASTARD!!!!"
