The ambient temperature in the Sublevel Four War Room plummeted, only to violently spike a second later as the massive pillars of golden light faded into the reinforced ceiling. The air crackled with raw static electricity, carrying the heavy, intoxicating scent of ozone and ancient magic. I stood at the head of the glowing blue holographic table, wearing absolutely nothing but a pair of loose, dark grey sweatpants. The sheer magnitude of the reality-bending transaction had temporarily disabled the room's main power, bathing us in the soft, emergency crimson glow of Legion's backup power. I crossed my arms over my bare chest, my emerald eyes sweeping over the newly materialized forces of my growing empire.
A moment of silence passes as all the new recruits stare at the still barely dressed Dennis with various states of emotions the most common being lust, awe, admiration and confusion the new Rank Two Companions were mostly feeling the last one. I could feel the golden threads of the Dawngleam bond actively weaving into their souls, rewriting their multiversal coordinates and tethering their life forces directly to my own chi reserves. It was a chaotic symphony of newly acquired emotions echoing in the back of my mind.
Izuku Midoriya was trembling slightly, his wide green eyes darting frantically across the high-tech monitors and weapon displays lining the walls. He looked terrified, yet the underlying heroic instinct radiating from his bond was undeniable. Beside him, Shota Aizawa had instinctively dropped into a defensive stance. The underground hero's capture scarf hovered ominously around his neck like a striking viper as his dark, tired eyes analyzed every shadow in the cavernous room. Ray Palmer looked entirely mesmerized by the quantum generators humming beneath the floor grates, his mouth hanging slightly open in pure scientific awe. Jack Reacher stood perfectly still, his massive frame radiating a cold, calculated readiness as his icy blue eyes assessed the tactical layout of our subterranean fortress.
And then there was Enji Todoroki. Endeavor. The towering hero was staring at his own massive hands, his jaw clenched so tightly it looked like the bone might shatter under the pressure. Smoke curled lazily from his knuckles, a physical manifestation of the immense power warring with the confusion in his mind. Behind these five extraordinary men stood the G.I. Joe strike team, flanked by fifty elite, heavily armed soldiers clad in unmarked tactical military armor. They remained in perfect military formation, their eyes locked onto me with an absolute, unwavering devotion forged instantly by the System.
Before any of them could start bombarding us with questions as the three of us sees some of them opening their mouths Frank Castle and Scott Mccall take the lead jointly unleashing their Rank 3 auras instinctively making them all clamp their mouths shut with Frank starting off the introduction.
The sheer, suffocating weight of Frank's presence flooded the chamber. I watched out of the corner of my eye as the Punisher stepped forward. His broad shoulders were completely tense, his lethal instincts flaring to protect me. I had just bled for this Pack a hours ago, taking Green Goblin's razor-bats to the spine to protect Peter and secure our public debut. Frank wasn't about to let a bunch of disoriented, freshly summoned recruits disrespect their Alpha.
"You will not speak until given permission I am the Rank 3 life partner Frank Castle this is life partner Scott Mccall this is your new boss and future God Dennis Shield leader of the Defenders'' said Frank projecting his voice making sure they all heard him.
Frank let the heavy, threatening gravel of his voice echo off the metallic walls, ensuring that even the soldiers standing in the very back of the formation felt the absolute finality of his words. He glared at Reacher and Aizawa specifically, instinctively recognizing them as the immediate tactical threats in the room.
"As you will no doubt find out yourselves soon your not in your old world and it's your job now to help us protect this one from aliens, interdimensional demons and metahumans with powers far stronger or which didn't exist where you came from but congratulations they do here'' said Frank with a twisted smile.
I felt a surge of pride through the bond. Frank was handling the intimidation flawlessly. Then, Scott stepped up beside him. The True Alpha let his werewolf nature bleed to the surface, his eyes shifting from their normal warm brown into a piercing, glowing, unnatural red. The feral scent of pine and absolute dominance rolled off him in waves.
"Now not everyone will be given the option of joining the main Defenders team that Privilege is only for Rank 2 Companions and up that means you 5 up front'' said Scott pointing at Izuku, Jack, Enji, Shota, and Ray getting looks of surprise, shock and dissatisfaction at not being Rank 3 that last one was Enji specifically even if he didn't know what the ranks represent he believes he should be at the top.
Scott kept his posture completely relaxed but undeniably lethal, his muscular chest bare as he naturally matched my own relaxed state of undress. The werewolf scanned the fifty tactical soldiers standing at attention behind the heroes.
"As for the rest of you your Rank 1s you will not be expected to fight the kind of people the main Defenders team do but you have work only you can do you will be placed in our secondary team Aegis Defense our public face'' said Scott arms crossed over his naked chest flashing his red eyes around.
He paused, letting the heavy reality of their new multiversal employment sink in before he laid out the absolute law of the Pack.
"I will quickly explain the rankings 1. Pet expendable soldiers you make the higher ranks job and life as easy as you can how ever you can that means if they say bark like a dog to make them laugh or get on your knees and suck them off you bark or suck, 2. Companion the sword and shield of our army the frontline fighters, 3. we are the second in command if Dennis doesn't say otherwise our orders are final and not to be questioned got it good you may now ask questions'' said Scott as he and Frank lifted their auras.
The oppressive, crushing pressure vanished from the room, leaving behind only the cold air conditioning and the rhythmic hum of the servers. The soldiers in the back remained perfectly still, their Rank One bond conditioning accepting the hierarchy without a single shred of resistance. The heroes, however, took a collective breath.
Aizawa looked like he wanted to wrap us all in his scarf and demand a thoroughly logical explanation, but it was the towering behemoth of fire who moved first. Enji Todoroki took a massive, heavy step forward. His turquoise eyes were burning with an intensity that had absolutely nothing to do with his quirk. He stared at me, his gaze dragging over my sweatpants, my bare chest, and the relaxed, confident posture I held at the head of the table. He was a man who had dedicated his entire existence to being the absolute strongest, and right now, his body was telling him that he belonged to the teenager standing in front of him.
"I have a question what did you do to me I feel incredible years younger and physically stronger in fact I almost lost control of my flames when I fist got here because of this if I wasn't so experienced I might have burned someone by accident'' said Enji as he looked Dennis in the eyes.
Dennis finally talked as he gave the answer.
"What you are feeling right now, Enji, is not just a increase in physical power or meta power but the increase of your peak potential," I said, letting my voice drop into a smooth, resonant purr that carried effortlessly across the cold metal of the War Room. I took a slow, deliberate step forward, relishing the way every single eye in the room instantly tracked my movements. "When my power pulled you from your reality and anchored your soul to mine, it didn't just relocate you. It reforged and empowered you."
I let my once again emerald eyes lock onto his fierce, blazing gaze, sending a warm, validating pulse of pure affection down our newly established tether. Enji's broad shoulders twitched as the intoxicating rush of the emotion hit his system.
"In your old world, you were driven by an obsession to surpass a symbol of peace. You pushed your body to its absolute breaking point, constantly suffering from overheating and the natural, unavoidable decay of age," I explained softly, walking from the edge of the holographic table until I was standing mere feet away from the massive hero. "But here? Bound to me as a Rank Two Companion? You don't have those limits anymore. The bond connects your life force directly to my own chi reserves. When it's first formed the connection is at 100% before dropping to 40% but those few seconds it was 100% is what helped It heal your accumulated cellular damage, both dialed back and extend your biological clock, and help increase your body's thermal resistance to your Hellfire. You can burn hotter, longer Enji, because I am here to help with the excess heat."
I watched the realization slowly wash over the massive man's face. The dissatisfaction and prideful anger I had felt radiating from him moments ago was actively being overwritten by a hungry, terrifying awe. The Dawngleam bond was taking his toxic, destructive ambition and carefully molding it into absolute devotion to myself and the Pack.
I shifted my gaze to the nervous, green-haired boy standing next to him. Izuku flinched slightly under my attention, but I offered him a warm, reassuring smile. "The same goes for you, Izuku. The power you carry breaks your bones because your human vessel simply wasn't ready to contain the sheer kinetic force of it. But the bond provides you with a fraction of my fae durability and enhanced cellular regeneration. You won't as easily shatter your arms every time you throw a stronger punch anymore. In fact if you take off your gloves you'll find your hand and arm free from scars also I can assure you, you are safe here."
Izuku let out a choked, wet breath, his hands trembling violently as he stared down at his scare free fingers, realizing for the first time that the phantom aches that usually plagued his joints were completely gone.
"Fascinating," Ray Palmer whispered loudly, stepping forward and adjusting an imaginary pair of glasses on his face. "You are talking about a multiversal energy tether operating on a metaphysical quantum level. A symbiotic transfer of ambient life force that bypasses standard thermodynamic laws. Are we actually dealing with magic, or highly advanced dimensional technology?"
"I'm sorry to say but it is magic and magic alone, Ray," I smiled, flashing him a charming grin that made the brilliant, optimistic scientist flush slightly. "And you will have access to our subterranean laboratory to study it. But right now, we need to focus on the reality of our immediate situation."
I turned my back on them to return to my former position and tapped the main console. The blue light of the room flared brilliantly as a massive holographic globe of the Earth materialized above the table, highlighting various red hotspots of superhuman activity across the eastern seaboard.
"We are in New York City. The year is two thousand and twelve. In exactly seventy-three days, a hostile alien armada is going to rip a hole in the sky right above our heads and attempt to subjugate this planet," I announced, letting the gravity of the timeline settle over the room. "And they are just the beginning. Mutants or metahumans as were going to try and get them called in the future are beginning to organize under radical leadership. Ancient gods are looking down at us. This world is a powder keg, and the government agencies here are desperately trying to control things they do not remotely understand nor could hope to even if they did."
I stopped pacing and looked directly at Jack Reacher and Shota Aizawa. Both men were hardened veterans of their respective worlds, men who understood the grim necessities of war and shadows.
"That is exactly why I brought you here. I need an army. I need tacticians, investigators, and unstoppable forces of nature," I said, my voice ringing with absolute conviction. "The Defenders will handle the apocalyptic threats. Aegis Defense, which the fifty of you and the G.I. Joe strike team will be joining, will handle global security contracts, corporate intelligence, and public relations. You will be our shield in the daylight, while we operate in the shadows."
I let my Aura flare just a fraction—not enough to oppress them like Frank and Scott had, but enough to bathe every single person in the room in a warm, intoxicating wave of pure devotion, safety, and belonging. I wanted them to feel the absolute truth of my words deep in their bones.
"You belong to me now. Every single one of you," I promised them smoothly. "And in exchange for your absolute loyalty, I will give you a purpose greater than anything you could have imagined in your old lives. I will make you stronger, faster, and untouchable. We are going to build a Pantheon, and no one in this universe is going to stand in our way."
Silence descended upon the War Room once more, but this time, it wasn't born of confusion or fear. It was born of absolute conviction. I could feel the Dawngleam tethers thickening within my chest, pulsing with the rich, golden chi of over sixty completely devoted souls. My empire had officially arrived.
"Now," I said, my lips curling into a playful, flirtatious smirk as I crossed my arms behind my head, stretching my torso and deliberately showing off my physique to the room of men. "I am sure you are all starving, and the multiversal temporal displacement can be physically exhausting for some. I have a world-class chef upstairs currently preparing a massive feast to celebrate our victory over the supervillain Green Goblin today and you're welcome to our cause. now except for the rank 2's and Snake eyes everyone else follow Frank and Scott to the elevators. the food will be ready to Eat soon so for now rest, and mingle with the rest of the Pack. We have a lot of work to do tomorrow. also Frank, Scott comeback once you get them all upstairs ok leave giving a tour to the others. we still have a second group to get here"
