"You think you're different from them?"
Black Adam shook his head at the boy's calm certainty.
"In my eyes, there's no difference."
Ben's expression tightened for a split second—being lumped in with Hawkman's crew genuinely annoyed him.
Then he leaned forward, voice full of conviction.
"No. We're fundamentally different."
A beat.
"And I'm much stronger than they are."
Black Adam's eyes narrowed.
"Then show me."
Lightning wrapped around him. The power of Aten answered his will, and he blurred forward—an instant punch carried by magical thunder.
Ben's chest emblem flickered.
Speed Force: on.
To Black Adam, that punch should've been unavoidable.
To a Kryptonian running on Speed Force, it was slow motion.
Ben casually shifted his torso aside, letting the thunderous fist cut past empty air. He could see it in Black Adam's face:
Adam could track him. Barely.
When Black Adam twisted his strike mid-flow to chase Ben's movement, Ben finally clenched his own fist.
"If you insist on fighting," Ben said, tone almost cheerful, "my super-intelligence recommends letting you experience my super-strength."
He didn't pull it.
A full-power punch detonated into Black Adam's center mass—
—and Black Adam became a projectile.
He shot upward, faster and faster, shrinking into a dot, then disappearing into the sky.
Hawkman, still trying to break free of Cyborg's pressure, stared in disbelief.
"That… was Superman?"
Doctor Fate glanced once at Ben, voice cold and distant—like a verdict from above.
"He is not Superman. Since he appeared, the future has become… chaos."
Then, without hesitation:
"He should be restrained. Along with Black Adam."
Cyborg's jaw tightened.
"No. We don't put our friends in chains."
His right arm unfolded into a cannon and fired.
Doctor Fate raised a hand—light condensed into a shield, catching the blast.
But that fraction of diverted focus was enough.
Shazam tore himself free from Fate's control, flashed to Cyborg's side, and threw a punch at Hawkman, who'd been looking for an opening.
"Hey!" Shazam barked. "Let's see what you've got!"
Cyclone re-entered the field, dragging a wall of sand and wind toward them—trying to bury the whole cluster under a storm.
Ben inhaled once.
And exhaled.
A single Super-breath ripped the storm apart. In the brutal Kahndaq heat, a towering ice wall rose like a frozen cliff where the sandstorm had been.
Then—
A streak of fire cut down from the edge of the world.
Black Adam had stabilized in orbit and dove back like a meteor, his body burning from atmospheric friction, speed peaking toward impact.
Ben didn't wait for him to hit the ground.
He flew up to meet him head-on.
Ice breath first—snuffing the flames.
Then the fists.
"Still tough, huh?"
He hit Black Adam hard enough to stop his descent, then launched into a barrage—left, right, left, right—so fast it was more vibration than motion.
"ORA ORA ORA…"
Seconds passed.
Black Adam was still conscious.
The endurance of Shu and the courage of Mehen made him obscene to put down—effectively a walking "no" to conventional damage.
He could feel it clearly:
Ben was suppressing him in every category.
But not killing him.
Not even close.
Black Adam forced words out through the punishment.
"How long are you going to keep hitting me? This power can't kill me."
Ben stopped immediately—like he'd just decided the demonstration was over.
He hovered there, calm, almost casual.
"I know."
And he meant it.
He wasn't trying to kill Black Adam.
He was making a point.
Because Superman's power + Speed Force wasn't just about winning fights.
It was about forcing the kind of person who only respects strength…
…to finally listen.
Ben's eyes narrowed, voice steady, and—crucially—reasonable.
"We do know how to take your power away."
A pause, letting that sink in.
"But unless you're truly beyond saving, we won't use extreme methods."
He didn't say the method out loud, but the implication hung in the air like a threat shaped into a promise:
If Wonder Woman shows up and the Lasso goes on you… saying "Shazam" becomes inevitable.
Ben held Black Adam's gaze.
"So here's the deal. Sit down. Talk. Tell me what you want—and tell me what Intergang is trying to do with Sabbac's Crown.
