With very obvious footsteps, a White-haired dumpling quickly ran to the dining table.
"Mei, Mei, I'm back!" The White-haired dumpling said, pouncing onto Mei.
"Alright, alright, go wash your hands, dinner will be ready soon," Mei said, stroking Kiana's head.
"Okay~" At the mention of dinner, Kiana quickly stood up and scurried off to wash her hands.
"Sister Mei, Bronya is back." This emotionless voice belonged to Bronya.
"Hmm, welcome back, go wash your hands first," Mei responded with a smile.
Finally, Himeko walked in... and Theresa.
"Oh? Mei made a very rich meal today," Himeko said, looking at the covered dishes on the table.
"Yes, because today is Elysia's official moving-in day, so I thought I'd make a little extra."
"It seems I'm benefiting from Aili's good fortune," Himeko said, walking over and patting Aili on the shoulder.
"What do you mean, benefiting from my good fortune? After all, I'm the one causing you trouble, aren't I?" Elysia said with a smile, "Good evening, Theresa." She then greeted Theresa.
"Hmm, good evening." After greeting, Theresa pulled Himeko to wash her hands. "Come on, Himeko, let's go wash up and then eat."
Before long, everyone had washed their hands and sat down at the dining table.
At the same time, Himeko and Theresa's hands also held some other things.
Himeko had some beer, while Theresa held a transparent bottle containing a green liquid, which looked like some kind of fruit juice.
During dinner, Kiana kept telling Mei about everything she encountered today. Mei just smiled and responded, occasionally serving some dishes to Kiana and Bronya.
Bronya, on the other hand, quietly ate beside them. Regarding Kiana's stories, she would occasionally interject to expose Kiana's exaggerations.
So, Bronya just lacked expression; she still had emotions.
Watching Himeko drink beer in large gulps, Elysia was initially curious. She quietly took an opened can from Himeko's side, then regretted it.
But since it was already open, she decided to taste it.
She took a small sip, then made a bitter face. It wasn't good; she had even had some expectations for the beer here.
Elysia then placed the beer next to Himeko's hand. Seeing an opened can of beer by her side, Himeko knew what had happened.
Himeko laughed loudly, walked over to Elysia with the beer, and placed the can Elysia had opened next to her. "Aili, since you opened it, you have to finish it." Himeko then took two big gulps from the can she was holding. "This stuff is the perfect choice for relaxing! After drinking it all down, you can have a comfortable sleep. Come on, drink."
"Um, Sister Himeko, this, this really doesn't taste good," Elysia said with a bitter face.
"It's fine, hiccup, it only tastes bad at first. The more you drink, the less bad it'll taste, hiccup." Himeko put her arm around Elysia's shoulder, hiccuping twice as she spoke.
"Himeko, don't lead the child astray," Theresa also walked over to Elysia, trying to persuade Himeko.
"Theresa, it's nothing. This stuff is so comfortable to drink and harmless to the body. A little bit is fine." She then shoved the beer she was holding into Elysia's hand and picked up the bottle next to Elysia. "Come on, this should work, hiccup. You drink less, I'll drink more."
Elysia looked at the beer in her hand, then at Himeko and Theresa, bit her lower lip, and said, "Okay, Sister Himeko."
Then Elysia raised the can. Himeko laughed twice when she saw it, then also raised her can and clinked it. "Drink!"
After clinking, Himeko raised her can and gulped it all down.
Then Himeko looked at Elysia, waiting for her to act.
Elysia took a deep breath, then, imitating Himeko, raised the can and drank it directly.
When she picked it up, Elysia already knew that Sister Himeko had been very considerate; there wasn't much left in the can she held.
But if it didn't taste good, it didn't taste good. After drinking it, Elysia made a bitter face.
Himeko saw this, patted Elysia's back a few times, then laughed and returned to her seat.
Seeing Elysia's discomfort, Theresa sighed and brought her cup over. "Have a couple sips of vegetable and fruit juice to wash it down."
"Hmm, thank you, Theresa." Elysia took Theresa's cup. Although she didn't know what kind of vegetable juice it was, it should taste better than beer, right?
She raised the cup without smelling it and took two sips directly.
Then Elysia's action of holding the cup froze.
She quickly put down the cup and ran towards the kitchen.
Watching Elysia's actions, everyone at the table was stunned, as Elysia's movements were so dramatic.
As sounds of vomiting came from the kitchen, the people at the dining table exchanged glances.
While Mei was doubting her cooking, Himeko spoke, "Theresa, that cup of juice, it wouldn't be yours, would it?"
"Of course it's mine! Do I have any other juice besides this one?" Theresa said matter-of-factly.
"Then did you consider if others could drink your juice?" Himeko looked at the juice Elysia had just drunk with a horrified expression.
"They're all juices, why can't others drink it?!" Theresa retorted loudly.
"Who came up with bitter melon juice?! Is that something a person can drink?!" Himeko retorted loudly.
The three little ones on the other side heard the words "bitter melon juice" and then looked at the green juice in Elysia's cup with a look of lingering fear.
This was bitter melon juice?! If they drank that, they would die!
Mei quickly stood up and ran towards the kitchen.
Seeing Elysia hunched over the sink, dry heaving, she quickly took normal fruit juice from the refrigerator. These juices were secretly bought by Kiana.
Twisting open the bottle cap, Mei stood next to Elysia, gently patting her back, trying to make her feel better.
At the same time, she handed the juice in her hand to Elysia.
Feeling a little better, Elysia took a small sip of the juice Mei offered to rinse her mouth.
After rinsing several times, Elysia finally suppressed the bitter taste in her mouth.
"Thank you, Mei." Elysia was already quite dispirited at this point; it was just... too uncomfortable (ノへ ̄,)
"It's nothing, it's nothing." Seeing Elysia much better, Mei breathed a sigh of relief.
Elysia, who had returned to the dining table, looked at the green juice with disgust. Sure enough, Elysia still had things she disliked!
Following a series of apologies from Theresa, this dinner finally concluded.
Lying on her bed, Elysia thought about her experiences over the past two days, a slight smile appearing at the corner of her mouth. She quite liked it here.
Whether it was Theresa, Himeko, Mei, Kiana, or Bronya, Elysia liked them all very much. These people had shown kindness to her, who was still a stranger. Since Elysia had accepted it, she would do her best to repay them.
