Yuki was being carried by Lucian on his back as Amelia walked with him. He was fast asleep while they walked through mountain ranges and the very vast land of forests and grass.
Amelia: You think he'll be okay?
Lucian: I'm figuring everything out right now... what I'm thinking is that everytime he's asleep, those so-called visions he kept bringing up are triggered which causes him to panic.
Amelia: So... a panic attack?
Lucian nodded as they continued going through grassland. He could feel the intense sweat from Yuki. Amelia glanced over at him and sighed with concern.
The grip from Yuki had gotten tighter. It was like he was trying to fight off whatever's going on inside his head.
He was having another nightmarish moment, until a city appeared in the distance. Lucian glanced at the city, and it was extremely large. Amelia eyes widened in surprise, but also excitement.
Amelia: We found a city!
She gasp was full of joy as her gentle voice echoed through the air. Lucian smiled a bit as they both walked.
Lucian: Pretty big you know?
Amelia: Yeah!
She nodded as they both entered the border of the city. What was then in front of them was a road that led them to that city. There was a sign in front of them saying Welcome to Nytherra.
Lucian: Nytherra huh...? A city of no laws where everything is legal... sounds chaotic.
Amelia: No laws? That's dangerous, for Yuki that is..
Her gentle voice had gotten serious as they continued walking. Yuki then slowly woke up and his grip loosened up, but not too loose to fall.
Yuki: Where... are we?
Lucian: Apparently a place called Nytherra. It's a city that has no laws to begin with.
Yuki: Seriously...?
He exhaustedly said as he drops himself and landed on his feet, but then a sharp pain in his head had happened, causing him to hold his head in pain.
Yuki: Ow...
Lucian and Amelia glanced at Yuki in unison as he held his head up.
???: Save us... Yuki.
The voice was distorted within his mind as they looked with concerns.
Amelia: You okay?
Yuki grunted in pain as he stood up straight again and let his head go. Lucian sighed as they continued walking through the hot air.
Yuki: Yeah. Just... some visions coming back...
Lucian: I see you're training process is increased drastically. Have you been training your mind?
Yuki: I guess so... I've been trying to force myself to think it's all illusions. I'm not sure what to do really. I'm like stuck in this violent loop of constant destruction and death.
Amelia, Yuki, and Lucian walked on the hot concrete of the road and had finally arrived at Nytherra.
Yuki: This is Nytherra...?
Amelia: It's truly interesting..
Lucian nodded as they went to find a motel. While they tried looking for a motel, a mysterious, pink-like crystal had been behind them. It acted like a camera to follow others.
It was tiny like it came from a different planet, then it continued following them. It wasn't following Amelia nor Lucian. No, it was following Yuki. They walked through the sudden empty streets of the city.
Yuki walked with them, but he was walking some feet behind them. Lucian and Amelia kept walking through these empty streets with the lampposts now turned on. It had seemed like it had became night quicker.
Amelia: Hey... did it become night time much quicker than usual?
Lucian: It appears so. Either someone is here with us and changing time or we've been too focused on Yuki and had forgotten about the time.
Amelia sighed and noticed Yuki's exhausted expression as Yuki kept following from behind. It was like he was losing himself, even if Lucian and she was there for him.
Lucian noticed the tired expression on his face as they stopped in front of a motel with a bench in the front of the building. The three of them sat down while Yuki sighed.
Lucian: Hey... Yuki? We'll be going back to your training, got it? Let's head into the motel so that you can rest up for tomorrow.
Yuki stayed silent as he nodded, which his silence had started worrying Lucian and Amelia. They entered the motel and had noticed no one is working, so they just took a key and went to a room. When they arrived to a room, they opened up the motel room and closed it behind them when entering.
Next morning, both Amelia and Lucian had woken up, and lazily stretched out their limbs then yawned. They looked around and noticed Yuki was missing. Their eyes widened up in shock.
Amelia: Shit... where did he go?!
Lucian: No idea...
They both got up and glanced out of the window, and noticed Yuki was sitting on the ground, meditating for a bit. They sighed as they moved to outside, and walked over to Yuki.
He opened his eyes slowly and glanced upwards into Lucian's eyes.
Yuki: Oh.. hey Luci.
Lucian: Hey. Looks like you're up early.
Yuki: I wanted to get some mental training in... without anyone around me.
Amelia: I see...
Lucian sighed and gestured him to get up then Amelia watched as she leaned against the motel's wall.
He then tosses him a sword, then Yuki caught the sword by its handle.
Lucian: Let's get this training started.
Amelia sighed and took out her gun then pointed upwards. She has her finger on the trigger of the gun, then pulled it, signaling the sparring match started. Something was off though.
Yuki had moved much faster than before as he swung the katana. Lucian blocked it with ease.
Lucian: What....? He's moving much faster than a day ago... something must be wrong. That tired and somewhat detached look on his face. That is the look who's suffering even more than they're supposed to.. that's a sign something is definitely wrong!
Yuki had continued swinging his katana, but his movements was much fasteras he continued blocking all of Yuki's attacks with ease. At that moment, he swung his katana at him, but he had vanished completely.
He had reappeared behind Lucian, then immediately swung again, aiming towards his neck, but Lucian had quickly blocked it.
Amelia: Time's up!
Lucian: He's much different... I'm getting worried that these emotions he's feeling is affecting him, and changing him.
He had noticed the dead plants on the ground then looked back at Yuki.
Lucian: Did you do that... Yuki?
Yuki: Yeah... I wasn't able to sleep.. so I came out here and did some training alone. That was when I wanted to pick up a flower, but it had died...
Lucian: It died...? Was it his presence? He had touched it... so, is he manipulating death itself...? That's one of the few Divine Arts, he's getting stronger, but.. he's destroying himself in the process.
Yuki: I hadn't tried bringing a nonliving organism back to life like those dead plants yet...
Amelia: Then try it on those plants that you've killed.
Yuki glanced over and nodded and walked over then tapped the flowers, which then caused them to look more alive like nothing happened.
Lucian was surprised as his eyes widened as well as Amelia.
Lucian: So... he can bring any dead things he touches back to life, but yet the first time, they die through touch as well... so he's manipulating both life and death biologically...
Amelia: How... did he do that Lucian?
Lucian: I'm assuming he had put some of his life energy or mana into those dead plants. Although, I'm not completely sure myself.
Amelia: Well... that wouldn't be much of a use in battle, although it's useful to bring something or someone back to life right?
Lucian: Possibly.
Yuki glanced at them and sat down in front of the flowers that are now alive again like nothing had killed them yet.
Yuki: Lucian... during my training, I couldn't successfully train my brain to resist these visions, but... I transferred the effects I've been feeling onto these flowers, which killed them..
Lucian: So... you're using the effects of these said visions, and moving them from you to those flowers.. that would then kill them biologically. I see...
Yuki stood up as he walked towards Lucian and Amelia, then hugged them with a tired look. They were concerned about Yuki's mental health and his well-being.
He had broken up the hug and smiled a bit at the two of them.
Yuki: I guess, I'll be heading out. It's better if we split up now. I don't want to be burden or have you both get hurt because of me.
He chuckled with a nervous smile as he started to leave and waved goodbye. He had taken the katana as well.
Yuki: Bye everyone!
He shouted as he left with a somewhat smile while walking off into the distance of the empty streets. Lucian and Amelia watched him leave, and Yuki's smile had faded away quickly, back to his tired look.
Their eyes were full of concerns and worries, while Yuki had left to train on his own from now on, thinking he'd harm them. He truly was negative in every way possible. No positivity was left in him. His trauma had officially taken a toll on him mentally and emotionally.
