Aya didn't stop. She had less than thirty minutes to find an Alpha, convince him to have breakfast with her, and not die of humiliation in the process.
She hit the main floor and burst through the main doors and into the cool air.
The courtyard was surprisingly empty despite the few servants that had been walking around the lower floor of her building. It was just her, the dark morning sky, and the looming silence of the five connected lodges.
She needed a second to calibrate her thoughts, but the giant glowing timer in her vision was a cruel reminder that "seconds" were a currency she was rapidly running out of.
'Move! Move! Move!'
Aya's lungs burned. Her brain was operating on four hours of sleep and pure adrenaline-fueled hysteria.
Aya stood out there, unbothered by the cold, thinking of which Alpha's lodge to approach.
