I walked into the Labyrinth with excitement, what isekai fan wouldn't be, my first actual dungeon. Although I feel like I've entered the main story after finishing all the side quest first.
What I'm saying is that I doubt there is anything Ramiris could throw at me that would threaten me.
I walked through, ignoring the cocophony of alluring and giggling whispers surrounding me.
I had found myself in a clearing, a small arena. Magicules gathered causing the arena to form a dozen metal golems.
"Try and survive my creations newcomer… hahahaha." A familiar voice beamed into my head through telepathy.
The golems came at me all at once as I began analysing each and every weak point on every golem.
In the next second, I rushed forward and threw a magic infused kick to each and everyone of them in the areas where they were most fragile destroying all of them with one strike each, all while still having my hands in my pockets.
"I have to say Lady Ramiris, you have an impressive mind, creating such sophisticated constructs." I spoke to a gap in space with a knowing smile, I pointed to the gap with a highly condensed fireball, "if you don't want to be incinerated, then please come out so we can talk, I really don't want to fight you."
Suddenly a golden pixie flew out of the crevice, "WAIT WAIT, DON'T BURN ME!!!" The pixie stopped right in front of my face, "I am the great fairy of lab-" The great fairy began her arrogant shpeal before biting her tongue, "Are you okay, it seems you're not used to talking normally."
"Of course I'm ok, I am one of th- wait aren't you Guy's student." Ramiris begun to recall the previous the Walpurgis, the performance of a human manhandling the beastmaster and then just giving the match to him.
"Well then, I doubt that theirs any need for introduction from both of us."
" Did Guy send you here? I have nothing to say to that prideful demon!" Ramiris exclaimed while turning her back to me.
" Don't worry Lady Ramiris, I am here for me." I addressed the spirit queen respectfully. She may be weak and small in her currently but I believe she is someone deserving of respect.
" Then what are you here for?" Ramiris asked in a confused manner.
" Well why would any human come to the Dwelling, to contract a spirit of course."
"Oh… sorry but you have to prove yourself first."
I looked at the surrounding metallic remains, "Does that mean these more you can throw at me… or are you just being stubborn?"
"Well… I… hmm, I don't have to answer you." She stammered at my accurate observation and refused to acknowledge my statement.
I decided to play along, "Well if you have another trial then I'm happy to take it on."
Ramiris could only concede defeat at my sincerity and the fact she had nothing to use on me, before she could say anything, I shoved a cookie in her mouth that caused her eyes to show stars.
She began munching down greedily while I set down a picnic blanket. I opened up a portal and pulled out a whole basket of cookies. She was so happy to see a whole basket of these delicious treats.
" So you were hoping to receive the blessing of a spirit?"
" Well actually I was looking for something far more than just a Greater spirit." I smiled innocently.
Ramiris knew what I was insinuating and her expression became serious, "You're hoping for a hero's egg? You know I don't mind giving you my blessing, but there isn't a guarantee that you'll get a greater spirit in the first place."
"You let me worry about that, let's just say I have a cheat. Does this mean you'll give me your blessing?"
Ramiris scrutinized me, "Answer me something first, why do you want to become a hero?"
I hesitated for a second, I didn't want to answer her incase she decides not give me the blessing, "What if I told you it's not for any noble reason?"
"Explain it to me and I will decide whether you allowed my blessing."
"Well the reason I want it is to become stronger."
"…Is there a specific reason you want to become stronger?"
" Two reasons. One is to become stronger, I know for a fact that this world does not care for the weak and helpless, and I refuse to be so helpless, not again." I spat out in indignation.
Ramiris could feel the rare emotion coming from my throat, but decided not to mention it, instead motioning the conversation forward, " What's the second reason?"
" The second reason is simple… scientific curiosity. I want to see I far I can push my limits, I want to see I strong I can truly become."
Ramiris gave me a look that I could only mistake for judgement. Her gaze piercing me, making feel extremely nervous.
" Ok then… I will give you my blessing."
Her words came as a huge surprise, " Wait you're actually find what I said to be acceptable?"
" I believe that you won't raise your power unjustly and frankly I've given my blessing for less." She said while chomping down on a cookie.
"Oh ok, so does that mean that you'll let me make my pray?"
"Let me finish my cookies first."
"Wow, you're quite addicted, well you finish those, let me just do some creating." As my words fell, I got up and began creating and forging, my magicules began condensing into refined metals. The metals began forming into specialized dolls.
Ramiris looked in awe at my sudden act of creation, a batch of mechanical dolls suddenly out of nowhere, " These are for you Ramiris, think of it as a show of good faith."
Ramiris squealed in happiness at what she just saw, " Thank you!" Ramiris hugged my cheek in glee.
