In the inner Chamber of the Tian Sect — (night)
The room was dimly lit by a single golden lantern. Shadows stretched across the walls like silent witnesses as three figures sat around a stone table — the Golden God, the Silver God, and Di Tian Yi.
Golden God: smiling faintly "Sect Master Di… your sect truly lives up to its reputation. Strength, discipline… and rare beauty."
Di Tian Yi: eyes narrowing slightly "Your praise honors the Tian Sect, Your Highness. But I sense your words carry more weight than simple admiration."
Silver God: leaning forward "Direct as always. Good. Then we shall also speak directly. The young mistress of the Light Clan — Tian Ya. We wish to win her heart."
Di Tian Yi: "It's A bold wish. The Light Clan is… complicated. And Tian Ya is not easily swayed by status alone."
Golden God: "We do not intend to rely on status."
pauses, voice lowering
"We intend to rely on opportunity."
Silver God: "And your cooperation."
Di Tian Yi remained silent for a moment, tapping his fingers against the table. His gaze drifted toward the lantern flame, as if calculating how far its light could reach.
Di Tian Yi: "You are asking for influence within my sect… for the sake of a woman?"
Golden God: "Not merely a woman. It's a.. A bridge. A bond."
Silver God: "And perhaps… a shared destiny."
Di Tian Yi: raises an eyebrow "Shared?"
The two brothers exchanged a glance — a wordless conversation only they could understand.
Golden God: "We have never stood against each other."
Silver God: "And we do not intend to begin now."
Golden God:"If one marries her, the other loses."
Silver God:"If both marry her… neither loses."
A faint silence fell. Even the lantern flame flickered as if startled by the audacity of their words.
Di Tian Yi: "A simultaneous marriage… You do realize the storm such a decision would bring?"
Golden God: "Storms cleanse the sky."
Silver God:"And leave only the strong standing."
Di Tian Yi exhaled slowly, then allowed a thin smile to form — not of agreement born from fear, but of opportunity recognized.
Di Tian Yi: "I do not act out of intimidation, Your Highnesses. The Tian Sect bows to no one. However…"
his eyes sharpened
"…alliances shape the future. A strong relationship with the Northern Plains would benefit us both."
Golden God: "Then you will assist us."
Di Tian Yi: "I will… maintain harmony. Introductions can be arranged. Encounters can be… encouraged. Hearts, however, are unpredictable."
Silver God: soft chuckle "Hearts are doors, Sect Master. Some require only the right key."
Di Tian Yi: "And some doors,"
he replies calmly,
"should never be forced open. Remember that."
Golden God: "We do not intend to force. We intend to persuade."
Silver God: "And if persuasion fails… destiny will be rewritten."
Di Tian Yi rose from his seat, robes whispering against the stone floor.
Di Tian Yi:"Very well. I shall pave the path. But understand this — I do so to strengthen connections between the Tian Sect and the Northern Plains. Not out of fear… and not out of loyalty."
Golden God: "A mutually beneficial understanding."
Silver God:"Exactly how empires are built."
The lantern flame steadied as the agreement silently settled in the air.
Three ambitions aligned beneath one roof —
and far away, unaware of the plans forming around her, Tian Ya gazed at the moon…
while fate quietly tightened its threads.
Heavy curtains blocked the moonlight. The air inside the chamber felt suffocating, as if even the walls feared the words about to be spoken. The Golden God, the Silver God, and Di Tian Yi stood around a circular table carved with ancient runes.
Golden God: "however, The gentle approach will not work forever. Tian Ya is not naive… she sees through courtesy."
Silver God: "Then courtesy is no longer required."His voice was calm, but the meaning was sharp.
"A heart can be persuaded. A future… can be arranged."
Di Tian Yi:"You speak as if she is an object to be placed, not a person."
Golden God:"In matters of alliances, individuals are often the smallest pieces on the board."
Silver God: "And the Light Clan shields her confidence. Remove the shield… and the sword trembles."
Di Tian Yi's gaze darkened slightly. He understood the implication immediately.
Di Tian Yi:"You want their influence erased."
Golden God: "Not erased. Reduced. Quietly. Gradually."
Silver God:"Resources redirected. Positions reassigned. Small accusations… repeated often enough become truths."
The lantern flame flickered as silence filled the room.
Di Tian Yi:"And when the Light Clan stands alone?"
Golden God:"Then Tian Ya will stand alone."
Silver God:"Isolation bends even the strongest will. When support vanishes, choices narrow."
Di Tian Yi folded his arms, his expression unreadable.
Di Tian Yi:"You are asking for more than cooperation. You are asking for control."
Golden God:"We are asking for alignment of interests."
Silver God:"The Northern Plains offers strength, trade, protection. The Tian Sect offers position, legitimacy, and… opportunity."
Di Tian Yi: "and the girl?"
Golden God:"She becomes the bridge."
Silver God:"Willingly or unwillingly, history rarely remembers the difference."
For a long moment, only the sound of the lantern's faint crackle remained.
Di Tian Yi:"I will not act recklessly. The demolition must be subtle. No sudden purges. No open hostility."
Golden God:"A slow tide erodes cliffs better than a crashing wave."
Silver God:"Exactly. By the time they notice, their foundation will already be gone."
Di Tian Yi finally turned away from the table, walking toward the shuttered window.
Di Tian Yi:"I will restructure the sect. Duties will change. Supplies will be 'reallocated.' Mistakes… will carry heavier consequences."
Golden God: "And Tian Ya?"
Di Tian Yi:"She will be presented with fewer paths until the one you desire appears to be the only road left."
Silver God:A faint smile formed.
"Then destiny will look like her own decision."
The agreement settled like dust in a forgotten tomb — silent, heavy, and inevitable.
Beyond the chamber walls, the Tian Sect slept peacefully, unaware that its internal balance had already begun to fracture…
and that a single girl's fate was being negotiated like territory on a war map.
