Chapter 30 - Fifty thousand kilograms of Corn harvest, per day?

Sienna's face changed.

The implication was terrifying.

Mirella, Harold, Wood, and Stone could defend themselves.

But the slaves could not.

If undead spirit beasts emerged from the Carrion Swamp, those people would be defenseless.

She rubbed her forehead, a habit carried over from her previous life. The weight of responsibility pressed down on her shoulders once again. 

Just when one problem was solved, another emerged from the shadows.

Such was life.

When a man repairs the roof, he discovers the foundation is cracked.

When he fixes the foundation, he learns the well is dry.

After several moments, Sienna said quietly, "If what you say is true, then we face a serious threat."

Mirella's expression was equally troubled.

The underground lake was meant to become a major source of food and income. If it could not be used safely, many of their plans would collapse.

Sienna's gaze sharpened. "Tomorrow, stop the slaves from cleaning the mines."
