Every ordinary warrior had fallen, leaving only the three advanced warriors together with Garan and the twins, standing amidst the sea of corpses and shattered tents.
That outcome was hardly surprising.
The ordinary warriors had never possessed the strength to contend against more than a thousand enhanced undead. From the moment the ambush began, their defeat had only been a matter of time. As for the one hundred assassins scattered around the canyon, none of them had managed to escape the encirclement laid down by Scales and Brick. Hidden in darkness though they were, they still found themselves hunted down one after another by the undead until not a single survivor remained.
Now the battlefield had completely changed.
