The wheels of time rolled on, and the era of Fairy Tail began to arrive.
In April of X686, the Fairy Tail Guild was established on Tenrou Island, with Mavis Vermillion as the first master.
There were four others who founded the guild with her: Yuri Dreyar, Precht Gaebolg, Warold Sinken, and Zera.
During this time, Mavis met the Black Wizard Zeref; they went from meeting to falling in love, before she was eventually killed by a curse.
Gaebolg served as the second master.
In X73, Dreyar served as the third master.
Year X774... One hundred thousand meters beneath the sea, Acnologia slowly opened his eyes, a faint, eerie light shimmering deep within them.
He hadn't expected that devouring the dragon souls would take longer than imagined; even in the deep sea where the sun and moon never reached, he could still sense the passage of time.
"I've become stronger now. The Sky Dragon King, whom I could only trade blows with before, can now be killed in a single strike."
"The digestion of the dragon souls is almost complete, but I should wait a bit longer."
By the way, what year is it now?
Acnologia felt he should go out and take a look before continuing his seclusion.
Stepping out of the cave he had excavated in the deep-sea rocky mountain, he stomped his foot. Explosive waves surged through the seabed layer after layer as he transformed into an arrow released from a bow, bursting through the surface and sending a spray of water a thousand meters into the sky.
Then, looking down, he saw a beautiful woman on the ground wearing a light magic robe and holding a wand, waving at him joyfully.
It was Irene, who had settled here!
Acnologia landed on the ground and strode over, pulling Irene into a tight embrace. "I'm back!"
"I've waited for you for so long!"
Buried in Acnologia's chest, Irene breathed greedily. Gradually, her eyes reddened and quickly filled with tears.
For this day of reunion, she had waited three hundred and ninety-five years.
"Alright, stop crying!"
Acnologia comforted her. He wasn't wearing any clothes yet; if an outsider saw him, they would surely think he was a pervert.
"I will cry! I will cry!"
Irene pouted like a young girl. She had waited nearly four hundred years; surely she was allowed to cry a little.
"Hey! After all these years, your temper has certainly grown!"
Acnologia had his own way of dealing with this. He scooped Irene up by the waist and walked toward the small wooden cabin.
Irene's face flushed as she pounded on Acnologia's chest. "What are you doing?"
"You're asking what you already know!"
They were an old married couple, yet she was still blushing over nothing!
After the door closed, the small wooden cabin began to shake violently for seven days and seven nights.
When they finally reappeared, Acnologia's face looked slightly tired, while Irene appeared even more charming and radiant.
As expected, a woman who had been suppressed for four hundred years wasn't so easy to satisfy; even the Dragon King Acnologia felt bouts of weakness.
Fortunately, he hadn't lost face.
After Acnologia drank the Blue Silver Tonic Soup Irene had brewed, he asked what year it was.
"It is now X774. Since you went into seclusion, exactly three hundred and ninety-five years have passed."
Irene explained the current situation of the continent to Acnologia, as well as the re-establishment of the Dragnof Kingdom.
"The Dragnof Kingdom?"
Acnologia was somewhat surprised. "Did you build it?"
"It was Number One!"
"Back then, after I finished teaching him human-transformation magic, I left. He mentioned rebuilding the kingdom at the time, but we didn't take it seriously. Later, he actually succeeded."
For these past few centuries, she had hadn't concerned herself with the kingdom's affairs; its establishment and development were all handled by Number One.
She had clearly told Number One she wouldn't return, yet General Number One was very stubborn and refused to become king. Even now, he wanted her, Acnologia, or Little Erza to return and succeed the throne.
"How interesting..."
Acnologia chuckled. He hadn't expected that someone he had chosen so casually back then would be so loyal.
"But our daughter has never appeared."
Irene's voice dropped. "I wonder just how far into the future she went?"
Since giving birth to Little Erza, she hadn't raised her for more than a few days, nor had she taken her to see the truly beautiful parts of the world. She wasn't a fit mother.
Acnologia gently stroked her head and smiled. "It will be soon. If nothing goes wrong, it should be July 7th, X777."
Irene was taken aback, filled with doubt. "How do you know so clearly?"
Acnologia said as if it were obvious, "Didn't I tell you? I have seen the future."
Irene opened her mouth. Oh, right!
At that time, he had also said Little Erza would meet a group of lovely companions and a family. Irene had thought he was just comforting her.
Dammit!
Irene punched Acnologia's shoulder and said fiercely, "Then why didn't you explain it more clearly? You made me so worried!"
"Are you being reasonable?"
Acnologia was helpless. He felt like he had said it more than once or twice; how was this still his fault?
Irene said angrily, "You're the one being unreasonable! You clearly knew, so why didn't you tell me in a more certain tone?"
Good grief, if she wasn't disciplined for a day, she'd start tearing the roof tiles off. She had already forgotten how formidable he was!
His expression darkened as he tossed Irene onto the bed and strode over. Today, he had to let her know who was the boss.
"What are you doing?"
After a startled cry, the sounds of intense combat rang out once more.
Seven days passed in a flash.
With satisfaction written on both their faces, Acnologia said, "Well, I'm going back into seclusion. There's still a bit left to digest!"
Sitting in Acnologia's lap with flushed cheeks, Irene said, "Then just go into seclusion here in the house. I won't disturb you."
Now that Acnologia no longer went mad, there was no need for him to go back to the deep sea.
Acnologia thought it made sense and nodded. "But you're not allowed to touch me randomly!"
Seclusion would shut off his perception of the outside world; he was truly afraid this woman would drain him dry while he was unaware.
Irene looked solemn. "What are you talking about? How could I do such a thing! I promise I won't touch you, okay?"
Suddenly remembering something, Acnologia asked again, "What year is it?"
"Didn't I just say? It's X774!"
Acnologia recalled the plot. At this time, Makarov should have only recently succeeded as the master of Fairy Tail, and the main story hadn't yet begun.
However... he remembered that Gray's teacher, Ur, died this year, apparently while fighting Deliora, a Demon from the Books of Zeref.
Ur used her strongest magic, Iced Shell, which resulted in the demon being sealed, but she herself perished.
Since he had come to this era, he naturally wanted to change the tragedy of Ur and the others. When Gray found out in the future, he would surely be eternally grateful.
Acnologia amplified his perception, expanding it into the distance. He soon sensed a strange magical power and frowned slightly. "It's not human, nor is it dragon... could this be a so-called demon?"
"Let me take a look!"
