The kids looked at the eerie building miles walked closer slowly rasing his hand to knock on the door a woman's voice came from the other end "hello?"
She said with out another word "uhm...misss are you...Anita Anderson?"
Miles replied his voice a but shaky"yes....why?"
She wondered "well we need your help" miles replied
She swung open the door "if you need my help then that's means....it's back" she said her eyes widened her voice deepening.
She looked at them one by one with a calculating gaze "that stays out here"she pointed out Valerie they all looked at Valerie then back at Anita "miss she our friend we can't leave her out here" miles told Anita but she was stern about her demand.
"Ok why can't she come in?" miles asked "she connected to evil and that evil will not sit in my house!" she said sternly "She's not evil ma'am your thinking about the wrong person....the thing is she it's daughter" miles said a bit nervous at what she might say next.
Anita gave Valerie one last look then she looked back at the others "the decision is final" she said once more so miles looked at the others "so some of us have to stay out here with Valerie" he said to them Connie raised his hand "I'll stay"
He said sitting on the women's side wall or stairs wall to be exact.
"I'll s-stay as well" Juniper raised her hand before quickly putting it back down
Then the others turned to Anita as she stepped to the side letting them in
"So I suppose it's back and already deprived of hunger?"
Anita said sipping on coffee.
Miles nodded and Lilac just stared liam stood up looking out the windows while rebbeca asked sat down on the ladies couch "so tell me what are the things you've encountered?" She asked.
"Well we encountered twice or multiple times through different years"
Miles admitted "Ok so you've seen what this thing can do"
She replied "yes at one point we had to battle it to save our friend"
He continued "and who might that be?"
She raised an eyebrow as she continued sipping on her coffee.
"The boy outside" miles said not feeling comfortable enough to give they're names out yet "Ok...ok...what happened leading up to these events?"
She asked "ok miss if your just gonna interrogate us we could've just gone to the police!" Liam turned to her,she snapped her head at him "young man this is my house and you will not speak to me that way...but o guess you have a point so let's restart."
"I'm Anita Anderson the author and illustrator of the mythology book,and I'm also someone who has dealt with this situation first hand" she said calmly
"Miss can you tell us you know about the jester?" Miles asked.
She nodded and got ready to talk "Ok so."
Christine tapped a box together before putting it back on a shelf
And someone walked in "hey Christine"
They said Making her turn around it was her cousin
"OH MY GOD, ANNIE"christine ran to hug her
They wrapped around each other in a tight embrace.
"It's so good to see you" Christine said happily before stepping back
"Tell me how you've been" Annie asked "well work the kids and trying to stay safe then yeah pretty good" Christine said Making Annie raise an eyebrow "I know safe but why did you bring it up?"
She asked.
"There's-this thing that's been haunting my kids and me even they're friends.
..." Christine started moving another box "what thing?" Annie curiosity peaked
"A clown Annie a clown."
"My son has been saying them same thing...that he's been seeing a clown in his dreams" she responded.
"But we can't defeat it without obtaining the three titem and one of them are in the burned down house" Anita said "Oh god....the inkwell house" liam said turning around slowly "yes the indwelling house....the item looks like a pendant but it contains something very valuable for our situation" Anita continued.
"Great we'll go and get it" miles said standing up "ARE YOU STUPID...WHO IN THEY'RE RIGHT MIND IS GOING BACK THERE!" Jack said "we'll I guess I'm not in my right mind because I wanna kill this thing and I'm not gonna wuss out because you got scared now that we finally have chance to kill this thing!"
Miles snapped back.
He walked out "good luck and come back when you find it and....may God be with you..." Anita said.
Miles looked at the three still waiting outside "Ok we have to go to the indwelling house be there at 8" he walked past them "he didn't even give us a choice.."
Connie said "yeah he's hyper fixated on the fact that we might be able to get rid of the jester for good"lilac said.
Once eight arrived they all showed up miles wore a red jacket with black shirt and blue pants Lilac wore a grey long sleeve shirt with blue pants
Juniper wore a blue jacket and black pants.
Connie showed up wearing a black waist-length bomber jacket over a gray long-sleeve shirt with the sleeves extending past the jacket cuffs and dark blue pants.
Liam wore his normal varsity jacket with black pants.
Jack wore grey jacket and blue pants and Valerie wore a short grey shirt with grey shorts and had a bag hanging from her side.
Gavin wore a black long sleeve shirt paired blue pants.
Rebbeca wore a rose red jacket blue pants and also had a bag hanging from her side.
"We're really doing this?" Gavin asked while liam passed out flashlights
"Horror movie one oh one always bring a flashlight" liam told them
"Now let's pray we don't die"Jack said.
Miles tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge "I'm surprised yall parents let yall leave" Gavin said "I had to lie to my mom that I was going over miles house again" Connie said "I-I just left" Juniper said "we'll what about you guys" Gavin said to Lilac rebbeca Valerie and miles and they all said.
"No comment."
"Yeah the door won't budge" miles said a bit frustrated but Valerie just used her powers and opened the door and miles looked down the hall.
"Yep....now the horrors begin..."
