Miko didn't bother with a fire this time. He ripped a massive chunk of meat from the King Lizard's thigh and ate it raw. To a human, it would have been stomach-churning, but to his Saiyan biology, it was the best meal he'd ever had, he was way to drained to care about cooking or anything his saiyan instinct completely taking control over his body.
As he ate, he felt a strange sensation. Usually, when the sun goes down, a Kryptonian starts to lose their edge. But the energy from the sun wasnt vanishing at all instead it seems to still be stuck in his cells like a storage pressure tank holding the entire day of solar power.
"System," Miko thought, licking blood off his knuckles. "Check my energy reserves."
[Ding!]
[Solar Reserves: 98%]
[Note: Due to 'Legendary Saiyan' biology, solar energy is being fused with Ki. Host does not lose power at night; energy is stored in the marrow.]
"So I don't even have a 'night' weakness. Broken. Totally broken. Now I can annouce my self as one of the broken characters amongst both race hehe cant wait till I can bath in the sun system how long wil it be before I can bath in the core of the sun."
[Ding!]
[Note: It will take about a Power level of 20,000 to bath in sun core]
Miko stood up and walked out of the cave. Above him, two moons hung in the sky—one pale white, the other a dusty violet.
His tail twitched. A strange, primal thrumming started at the base of his spine. He felt an itch in his brain, a wild urge to look up and scream.
"Wait... the moons."
Miko quickly looked down at his feet. He knew the lore. A Saiyan with a tail plus a full moon equaled a Great Ape (Oozaru). But he wasn't a normal Saiyan.
"System! If I turn into a Great Ape while my cells are stuffed with blue solar energy, what happens?"
[Warning: Calculating...]
[Result: Transformation would be highly unstable. Potential for 'S-Cells' to force an early mutation. Recommendation: Maintain Ki Control.]
"Great. So I'm a ticking time bomb," Miko muttered. He sat down cross-legged, forcing himself to focus.
He closed his eyes and tried to tap into the Basic Ki Control he'd just unlocked. In his mind's eye, he saw a swirling sea of green fire—his Legendary Ki—mixed with a calm, blinding blue light—his Kryptonian power.
He tried to pull a tiny thread of that energy toward his fingertip.
Bzzzt.
Small sparks of green lightning flickered between his hands. It wasn't a violent blast this time. It was a small, hovering marble of glowing light.
"I'm doing it," he whispered, a grin spreading across his face.
He spent the next few hours moving the light around his body. He practiced "floating" an inch off the ground. He wasn't flying yet, but he was getting lighter. Every time he successfully controlled the energy, his System ticked.
[Ki Control Progress: 5%... 12%... 20%...]
Suddenly, the scouter he had crushed earlier—the one lying in pieces in the dirt—started to emit a low, static hum. Even in pieces, the emergency transmitter was still working.
Screee—
A voice, cold and robotic, drifted through the static.
"...Unit 4002... report status... Planet 402... Why is the scouter signal localized? Answer immediately or a cleanup crew will be dispatched."
Miko froze. The Frieza Force.
He looked at the broken pieces of technology. He wasn't ready to fight Frieza's elites yet, but he also didn't want to play the part of a loyal dog , so he used the most efficient method.
"Cleanup crew?" Miko crushed the remains of the transmitter under his heel, grinding it into the dirt. "Tch, well if they come I would be patiently waiting for them here, but am not sure how strong they are yet. I have to prepare for the worst I would have to go back to my Saiyan pod and start it ready for tommorrow just incase things go south."
He looked back at the King Lizard's carcass. By tomorrow, he would not be the same anymore. He would be a warrior ready for war.
Miko didn't waste another second. He grabbed the remaining chunks of the King Lizard meat and bolted toward the location of his landing pod. The dual moons provided plenty of light, but his Kryptonian eyes adjusted instantly, turning the dark forest into high-definition clarity.
He found the pod—a spherical, white ship half-buried in a crater. He quickly tapped the interface, setting the launch sequence to a standby "Quick-Start" mode.
"If things get too hot, I'm out of here," Miko muttered. "But I'm not leaving until I've milked this planet for every drop of power it has."
He sat atop the pod, the cold metal biting through his thin Saiyan armor. He closed his eyes. It was time to push.
[System, I need a training regimen. Focus on 'Gravity Adaptation' and 'Ki Compression'.]
[Ding!]
[Quest Created: The Night of Evolution.]
[Objective 1: Shadow Sparring (Maintain Ki Control while moving at max speed).]
[Objective 2: Solar-Ki Fusion (Merge 10% of Solar reserves into a single strike).] [Reward: Skill — 'Flight', +300 Combat Power.]
"Let's get to work."
Miko exploded off the pod. He moved through the trees like a green ghost. Every time the Oozaru urge hit him—the bloodlust from the moons—he forced it down, channeling that rage into his Ki.
He wasn't just throwing punches; he was trying to feel the energy flowing from his marrow into his muscles.
[Ki Control: 35%... 50%... 65%...]
He felt his body getting lighter. His feet stopped touching the dirt. He was hovering, then gliding, then darting through the air.
[Ding! Skill 'Flight' Unlocked.]
"Finally!" Miko laughed, soaring above the canopy. But he didn't stop. He pushed his body until his muscles screamed. He did thousands of air-punches, each one breaking the sound barrier. The blue solar energy acted like a constant repair kit, healing his micro-tears as soon as they formed.
By the time the first sliver of the blue sun appeared on the horizon, Miko was a different person. He landed softly in front of his pod, his skin glowing with a faint, healthy luster but this amount of training without sleep is pricy for even the young saiyan.
"System. Status."
[Host: Miko]
[Combat Power: 2,100]
[Solar Reserves: 40% (Replenishing...)]
"2,100. I'm almost at the level of the King Lizard, and the sun isn't even fully up yet. But am extremely tired even with all that stress and training I shouldnt stress my body too much am still young and growing"
Suddenly, the sky tore open.
A streak of fire tore through the atmosphere. Then another. Two standard Frieza Force scout ships were descending rapidly toward his location.
Miko didn't hide. He stood on top of his pod, crossing his arms over his chest. He watched as the two pods slammed into the earth nearby, kickstarting a massive cloud of dust.
Two soldiers stepped out. They weren't Saiyans. They were mid-tier mercenaries—one a purple-skinned alien with four eyes, the other a reptilian brute. They both had scouters clicked over their eyes.
"Unit 4002," the purple one barked, his scouter chirping. "You ignored the check-in. You destroyed your equipment. You also betrayed Lord frieza. Are you looking for a death sentence"
The reptilian one laughed, looking at his scouter. "Wait a sec, look at the reading on this brat. 2,100? My scouter must be glitching, probably broken. How can this trash have such a high combat power he's just a monkey still in diapers."
Miko looked at them, his eyes glowing with that predatory green light. The blue sun was rising behind him, and he could feel his power level ticking up second by second.
"You guys are the cleanup crew?" Miko asked, a cold, savage smile stretching across his face" You arent even worth tasting talk less of cooking, even the lizards of this planet are ay better than you fools calling this king trash do you have a death wish".
The purple alien's eyes widened as his scouter started to beep frantically. "Wait—the number is changing! 2,200... 2,300... what the hell is this kid?!"
"Too late," Miko whispered.
He blurred.
