Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 : Seven Deadly Sins (5)

Greed didn't hesitate.

He stepped in fast, catching Dean mid-shift, grabbing his jacket and twisting hard. Dean tried to brace, but the force threw him sideways. His grip slipped, the knife spinning out of his hand into the dirt.

He hit the tree back-first.

Hard.

The air left his lungs as he dropped to one knee, grabbing the trunk to steady himself.

Sam moved—

Pride was already there.

He crossed the distance in a blur and struck clean—just enough force to knock Sam off his feet. Sam hit the ground, rolled once, and pushed himself up, pain flashing across his face.

For a second, both of them were down.

Dean coughed, dragging air back into his lungs as he forced himself up, one hand still on the tree. "Yeah… okay," he muttered.

Sam got up across from him, breathing heavier now, eyes locked on them.

They shared a quick look.

Pride and Greed stood across from them, steady, watching.

Dean rolled his shoulder once and straightened. "Alright," he said. "Round two."

Sam shifted beside him, stance tight, eyes locked forward.

"Any round you want," Pride replied, tone calm, almost bored. He lifted his hand slightly.

The force hit both of them at once.

Sam and Dean were yanked off balance and slammed into each other mid-step, the impact knocking them straight to the ground before either could react.

They hit hard, air knocked out, bodies tangling for a second before they tried to separate.

Dean winced as he pushed himself up halfway. "We almost kissed," he muttered, breath rough.

Sam shoved him off, already trying to get up. "Can you be serious for once?" he snapped.

They didn't get the chance.

Two thick branches snapped overhead and dropped down on them, pinning them back to the ground with a heavy crash.

Dean tried to push one off immediately, muscles straining, but the weight and angle held him down. "Yeah, okay—this is getting old," he grunted.

"Yeah, that's why you should retire," Greed said, stepping closer, voice thick with amusement. "We've got a first-class place waiting for you in Hell after all the mess you've caused."

Dean gritted his teeth, still trying to shift the branch. "Yeah, I'll pass," he muttered.

Before Greed could move in,

Something came flying out of the woods.

A glass bottle.

Cloth stuffed in the neck, burning.

It smashed straight into Pride.

Fire burst across him instantly, flames catching fast as the alcohol spread, igniting his clothes and skin. Pride staggered back a step, the calm breaking for the first time as the fire took hold.

Bobby stepped out from the trees, already moving. "Get off 'em!" he barked.

Greed turned sharply toward him, distracted just long enough.

Dean took the chance.

He shifted his weight and shoved hard against the branch again, forcing just enough space to roll his shoulder free. "Sam, move!" he snapped.

Sam pushed at the same time, angling his body and slipping out from under the pressure as the branch shifted.

Pride tore the burning cloth away, crushing the flames down with controlled movements, his expression no longer amused.

"You three aren't going anywhere," Greed said, stepping forward as he raised his hand.

The force hit all of them at once.

Dean, Sam, and Bobby were lifted off the ground, invisible pressure locking around their throats. Their feet left the dirt, bodies suspended midair, hands instinctively going to their necks as the grip tightened.

Dean struggled against it, jaw clenched, trying to force his arm up. "Yeah… heard that before," he choked out.

Sam's hands pressed against the unseen hold, breathing already strained as he tried to focus through it. "Dean—" he managed, voice tightening.

Bobby kicked slightly, trying to shift his weight, but there was nothing to push against. "Son of a—" he rasped, fingers tightening around the flask he couldn't raise.

Greed watched them, calm now, enjoying the control. "Playtime's over," he said.

"This ends here."

Then from behind, a figure moved in fast.

A dagger plunged straight into Greed's back, angled clean through the heart.

Sparks burst across his body the moment it hit, sharp and violent, and the invisible hold snapped instantly. Dean, Sam, and Bobby dropped to the ground at once, all three dragging in air as the pressure on their throats disappeared.

Pride turned sharply, eyes locking onto the attacker, about to speak—

"You bitch—"

He didn't get the chance.

The blade was pulled free and came across Greed's throat in one clean motion. The vessel collapsed immediately, body hitting the ground without resistance.

Sam pushed himself up on one knee, still catching his breath, eyes lifting toward the one who had stepped in.

A woman.

Blonde.

Dean got to his feet beside Sam, still breathing heavier, gaze narrowing as he took her in. "Okay… didn't see that coming," he said, tone guarded.

Bobby not trusting for a second. "Who the hell are you?" he asked.

The woman didn't answer them.

Her eyes stayed on Sam.

A small, almost knowing smile formed.

"We meet at last, Sam," she said.
