Chapter 1 - How it all began

Is this your genuis plan?! Are you crazy or somethi...."

"You got a better one?" Leo snapped, interrupting Mingyu mid sentence. His beautiful cheerful smile and aura were long gone as he stared at Mingyu with annoyance.

Mingyu understood the situation. Clearly, "but come on!" He hissed. "Kissing you is way overboard Leo. Boundaries, remember?"

This was neither how any of them pictured their Valentine's night would be. First off, they've been on a never ending cross-country chase all day since 5 AM in the morning and now, some crazy-assed men in suit won't let them breath even for a minute.

They were lucky enough to find a hiding spot in this small local mall somewhere on the outskirts of Tokyo, Japan. But just when it felt like they could finally breath — properly, the men were hurriedly walking in their direction like someone tipped 'em off. Earlier on, Leo had pitched Mingyu a genius idea to help the situation they were caught up in, but his stubborn ass won't ever listen to nobody.

"Quick, we don't have time for your... overthinking.." Leo leaned forward, close enough for Mingyu to feel his warm breath. "..kiss me, when they come in,"

"If they come in Leo " Mingyu interrupted, getting up and looking out the window. Watching in panic as the men pulled closer. He wanted to say something when massive muscular but soft black hands pulled him down. He gasped and turned to meet 'for the first time' a non-smiling Leo staring at him.

"I don't want to do this as much as you don't want to. But we don't have any choice do you understand that? Plus, why are you all so panicky and disorganised, is kissing me that bad? Am I not good enough for you....you know what forget it." Mingyu could tell he was sulking.

'Curse you Universe, Why now!' He was thinking of what better way to respond that wouldn't sound like an annoying half-assed excuse to not kiss this beautiful muscular black man in front of him.....when suddenly, the door chimed.

One of the suited men forcefully stepped inside. Another followed almost immediately. Mingyu gasped and ducked. "What are we going to do?" His voice was as low as a whisper.

Without hesitation, Leo leaned forward, slid his hand behind Mingyu's neck, pulled him closer to himself and kissed him. It was supposed to be a quick, tactical distraction as Leo had explained, but the second their lips touched, something shifted almost instantly.

Mingyu froze. Every single muscle in his body locked up like he'd been hit with a stunt gun. His brain short-circuited and wiped clean, completely unable to process the fact that this was happening, on the freaking night of a Valentine's day. Leo's mouth was warm as he'd imagined. Insistent, even. The muscular hand on his neck was gentle but firm, tilting his head just enough to sell the moment and his beard was just the perfect turn on for the moment as it brushed Mingyu's jaw lightly as they kissed.

Under the surprise and the sheer absurdity of it all, there was something else….A spark? Maybe a little but it was there, dangerous. Mingyu's hand moved on instinct, gently placed on Leo's bare hairy chest, which he'd been eyeing all along in all honesty, and suddenly he wasn't being kissed anymore. He was kissing back.

The world narrowed to nothing but this very moment where they're lips touched and the feeling of Leo's heartbeat against his hands, steady and strong. And somehow neither of them were terrified even though they were seconds away from death if anything went wrong. Leo's kiss grew more and more possessive as his teeth grazed Mingyu's tongue, drawing a whimper that he swallowed whole. Mingyu's world narrowed to the pulse in his dick, the ache building, slowly — until, with a muffled cry against Leo's mouth, he shattered. Hot release flooded his pants, waves of ecstasy crashing through him, leaving him trembling in Leo's arms.

Somewhere, a few meters away, the clerk giggled and took a picture. Click!

How the hell had they ended up here? It wasn't supposed to be like this, not with Leo. He had vowed never again to entertain this kind of emotion for the rest of his life so why now. The deep tug in his chest was suggestimg otherwise. Was this Love? Was Mingyu in love with Leo? He shut his eyes in embarrassment and mentally slammed his forehead. 'Fuck!' His mind gradually rewound, piecing together the chaos that had led to this explosive moment, pulling him back to the dawn of that fateful Valentine's Day.

Somewhere in Seoul, South Korea —precisely, Elite Fitness Sanctuary in Gangnam. The clock on Mingyu's wrist watch ticked to 5:47 AM.

"Shit!" He cursed under his breath. His handler 'Ghost' confirmed that the gym didn't officially open until six in the morning, which made it a perfect time for his operation, although he had hoped he'd got here sooner. Regardless of the situation, he moved smoothly through the darkness. His feet barely touching the ground.

It was the early morning of Valentine's day, a supposed 'lovers day' that teens and couples love to shove down every 'single' person's throat on TokTik and Ingramsta. Sadly, Mingyu had never had the luxury to experience to his supposed 'celebration' due the to the nature of his job as a spy. But he had already planned out how his entire day was going to be. As always; all alone,l with no human interference of any sort.

After this operation, he'd get out of here, report to the organisation and head home immediately to watch some crime documentary or investigations from Stephanie soo, his favourite YouTuber who somehow had insights on the latest tea — with ramyeon by his side of course and a 'deliciously spiced savory chicken'. This thought excited him so much as he got closer to his target. He couldn't wait.

The sheer brown mesh top clung to his frame, practically transparent under the emergency exit lights. Most people would call the outfit insane for a breaking-and-entering job, but Mingyu called it strategic. And as a spy for more than seven years and counting, he knew what he was talking about.

The new fabric scanners at corporate facilities flagged tactical 'spy' gear instantly. But this; a stage costume material, embedded with metallic threads that scrambled the sensors into thinking he was just some lost K-pop idol who had wandered into the wrong building. His pink hair — he'd dyed recently, helped sell it too.

Facial recognition software saw the color and immediately downgraded threat assessment. "Low-priority celebrity. Probable an influencer, Ignore." It didn't typically say that, but Mingyu thought it and it sounded funny.

He crouched behind the mirrored wall of 'Studio 4'. He stretched his fingers and began working on the hidden panel. He had just thirty seconds; to crack the biometric lock, download the AURAZO key fragment and vanish before the alarm turned on. This was definitely going to be easy.

The device in his hand pulsed once with a great light which signifies that the download was initialized. 'No we wait.' He allowed himself the smallest exhale. One key down, six more to go. By tomorrow, he'd have to ghost to Osaka, let the heat die down a little, and then he'd figure out how to complete his mission to take down the six keys.

While he was still thinking to himself about the future relaxation he'd enjoy once his mission was successfully over, the studio door suddenly exploded inward.

"Goooood Morning my beautiful People!" A loud voice jolted Mingyu back to the present. His head snapped up so fast he nearly dislocated something. The moment he saw it, he was dumbfounded.

'What. The. Fuck?!'
