Serafall was very efficient; in just a week, she had brought the two Vampires.
The process went without a hitch, though it was said that on that day, a massive surge of magic power erupted in the vampire kingdom, freezing the entire royal capital in ice.
Fierce Serafall, a woman of few words and decisive action.
After all, she was the diplomatic representative of the Devils and had her own way of doing things.
She was calm and composed before the strong, but directly oppressive toward the weak.
It was likely that the Vampires had become overconfident and harbored thoughts they shouldn't have; this should serve as a lesson for them, making them realize that might makes right.
Failing to understand the gap in strength between the two sides is a truly terrifying thing.
~
One was a half-blood vampire who seemed to have little value but was actually the wielder of the Sacred Gear 'Sephiroth Graal'.
The other appeared to be a vampire, but was essentially the reincarnation of a consciousness fragment of the Evil God Balor from Celtic Mythology.
Rias didn't even have to do anything, and they fell into her hands with ease.
"I've brought back the two cute little babies for you~"
Two infants floated beside Serafall as she said with a proud look, "My, my, I was quite surprised when I first saw them. I didn't expect these two children to be so small."
"What did the System side say?"
Rias asked.
"Well, I've conveyed our intentions to Michael for now, but there's been no response yet."
Serafall slumped, saying dejectedly, "For a Devil to go to Heaven or something like that is simply unimaginable in the first place. It would be strange if Michael actually agreed."
"No, he will agree sooner or later."
Rias said with certainty.
"Why?"
Serafall asked, momentarily stunned.
"The Three Factions can no longer afford war. This isn't just true for the Biblical Pantheon; other Pantheons are much the same."
Rias continued, "A golden age is approaching. Once the Three Factions sign a peace treaty, the circulation of technology will be inevitable."
"Well, though by that day, perhaps I won't even need something like the System anymore."
Rias shrugged.
"Little Rias is certainly confident."
Serafall couldn't help but remark.
"It's not confidence, but inevitability."
Rias didn't elaborate further, instead using her magic to support the two infants and set them aside.
"Can you let me see how you're going to research them? I'm curious."
Serafall didn't pursue the previous topic either, instead looking at Rias with excitement. "Are you going to slice them up?"
"What on earth is'slicing'?"
Rias retorted.
"Is it not?" Serafall tilted her head. "That's how it's always portrayed in movies."
"Can't you watch some classic films? Trashy dramas aren't worth the time or effort."
After her retort, Rias asked about the main matter: "How is that child's Sacred Gear?"
"The Sacred Gear has already awakened."
Serafall said, "The Evil Eye of Stasis is extremely valuable. It's hard to imagine that the Vampires actually breathed a sigh of relief after sending this child away."
"It's normal. After all, he doesn't have the ability to control the Sacred Gear freely yet, so that power is naturally dangerous."
"What's more, when he was born, the midwives who delivered him were all wiped out, and even his mother was scared to death."
"That terrifying?!" Serafall said in shock. "That's no longer just the power of time, is it?"
"It's only the power that is terrifying."
Rias said calmly.
"But it must also pose a certain danger to the Gremory Family, right?"
Serafall said with a cute expression.
For a Devil of her level, the Evil Eye of Stasis couldn't affect Serafall at all.
But for those below the level of a Ultimate-Class Devil, it was much more dangerous.
"We can just seal it for the time being."
Rias said, "For someone of this age, a stable childhood is very important."
"Uwaa, those words sound nice, but Little Rias didn't do that at all."
Serafall poked Rias's cheek.
"I don't fit the definition of a 'child'. Otherwise, even as a Devil, you should have been hanged."
Rias glanced at Serafall, who stuck out her tongue and acted cute:
"Even though it's Little Rias who's tempting me, that really shouldn't be an excuse for being so forward~"
"Some people can live in peace because someone else is carrying their burden. Someone always has to bear the weight; why shouldn't that person be me?"
Rias said lightly.
"That sounds so cruel." Serafall couldn't help but feel a bit saddened. "Are we no longer able to protect you, Little Rias?"
"This is my own choice."
Rias said, "I like this kind of life, because the right to choose freely is itself a very beautiful thing."
"Alright, I'm going to work now. Don't disturb me."
With that, Rias deployed her Analysis Formula.
A geometric, three-dimensional Magic Formula held the infant in its center. Countless characters and numbers flickered continuously as various lights bloomed, looking exceptionally beautiful.
"This... this is..."
Serafall was stunned.
This was a Formula?
Although she had heard that Rias possessed extremely high-quality and easily controlled Power of Destruction, in comparison, that 'ease of control' probably referred to Rias's level of mastery over magic power and Magic Formulas.
This wasn't the 'Kankara Formula' at all, but a brand new System of Magic Formulas that had never been seen before!
The characters were ones never seen before, and the core was numbers.
Mathematics?!
After watching for a while, Serafall felt a bit dizzy.
Stopping her gaze upon the Magic Formula, Serafall focused her eyes on Rias.
Although the technique was gorgeous and fine for simple appreciation, trying to decipher it was too much of a blow for an academic underachiever.
Could this perhaps already be considered the level of a Transcendent?
Serafall thought to herself.
A Transcendent doesn't just symbolize power; this 'create' ability doesn't belong to power, yet it is extremely terrifying.
Perhaps this could also be classified as a type of 'power'.
And compared to the gorgeous Magic Formula, Little Rias was still more pleasant to look at.
"I see."
Rias continued her analysis, using the technique to record the data.
Gasper's body contained a fragment of the consciousness of the Evil God Balor, but this fragment was pure power.
On the other hand, the Evil Eye of Stasis was created by mimicking Balor's abilities, and it was the Evil Eye of Stasis itself that was drawn to Balor himself.
The second personality Gasper formed in the original story might have been unconsciously created by the Holy Grail, but it hadn't manifested yet.
If possible, Rias wanted to fuse Balor's power with the Evil Eye of Stasis to bring forth the Sacred Gear ahead of time.
"In that case, I'll need to construct a Magic Formula."
Rias pondered.
The power contained within the Evil Eye of Stasis was simple, but the structure of the Sacred Gear itself was difficult to understand.
Even so, constructing a technique within the Evil Eye was still achievable.
Rias had no need to worry about breaking the Sacred Gear; with the System maintaining it, the Sacred Gear wouldn't break so easily.
