Chapter 69 - Episode 69 – The Dance of Control

🚆 Love Train in Facebook Station

08:32 PM – Inside the Club

The music slowed.

Not quieter—just deeper.

Like a pulse.

Like a heartbeat syncing with something unseen.

In the middle of the shifting crowd,

Srikant stood still, his senses sharp, trying to separate reality from manipulation.

Lights moved in patterns.

People moved in loops.

Everything… felt designed.

And right in front of him—

Sasmita.

The Pull

She stepped closer again.

Closer than before.

No hesitation.

No awareness of boundaries.

Or maybe—

Complete awareness.

"Dance with me," she said.

It wasn't a request.

It wasn't playful.

It felt like a trigger.

Srikant frowned slightly.

"This is not the time."

She smiled.

Soft.

But unreadable.

"That's why it is the time."

Surrounding Shift

The crowd moved around them.

Forming space.

Almost like—

They were being isolated.

Rudra watched from a few steps away.

Something felt wrong.

Very wrong.

Rudra Sen whispered into his device—

"Environment responding to them… not random."

Contact

Before Srikant could step back—

Sasmita took his hand.

Her grip—

Firm.

Warm.

Steady.

And suddenly—

He felt it.

A subtle pressure in his mind.

Not pain.

Not force.

But influence.

The Dance Begins

She moved.

Slow.

Controlled.

Pulling him with her.

Srikant didn't resist immediately.

Not because he couldn't—

But because he was trying to understand.

"What are you doing?" he asked quietly.

She leaned closer.

So close her voice barely crossed the space—

"Remembering."

The Glitch

Her movements were too perfect.

Too precise.

Step. Turn. Pause.

Repeat.

Like a pattern.

And then—

Srikant noticed something terrifying.

The music—

Matched her movement.

Not the other way around.

Control Layer

Rudra's eyes widened.

"They're syncing her with the system…"

He tried to move closer—

But two men blocked his path casually.

Not aggressive.

But intentional.

Isolation Complete

Now—

Only Srikant and Sasmita.

In a moving world that wasn't theirs anymore.

Memory Fragments

Suddenly—

Sasmita's expression changed.

For a split second.

Confusion.

Pain.

Recognition.

"Why do I know this place…" she whispered.

Srikant's grip tightened slightly.

"You've been here before?"

She shook her head.

"I don't remember… but my body does."

That's Worse

Because memory can be hidden.

But instinct?

Never lies.

Pressure Builds

Music intensified.

Lights flashed faster.

Srikant's vision blurred slightly.

Not fully.

But enough to disturb focus.

Sasmita didn't react.

She adapted.

Dual State

Her eyes shifted again.

Soft—

Then cold.

"I should stay with you…" she said.

Then immediately—

"I should complete the sequence."

Srikant froze.

"Sequence?"

Conflict

Her hand tightened on his.

Body still moving perfectly.

"I don't understand…" she whispered.

"I feel two directions…"

Rudra, from a distance, realized—

"This is it… dual-phase conflict…"

Breaking the Pattern

Srikant suddenly stopped moving.

Forcefully.

Breaking the rhythm.

The music glitched.

For half a second.

That was enough.

Eye Contact

He held her shoulders.

Firm.

Grounding.

"Sasmita… look at me."

She did.

And for a moment—

Everything else faded.

Real vs Program

"Stay here," he said.

"Not there."

Her breathing changed.

Irregular.

Then—

She whispered—

"I'm trying…"

External Reaction

Above—

Sovereign observed calmly.

Beside him,

Meera Vashisht said—

"He's interrupting the sync."

Sovereign nodded.

"Yes."

Pause.

"Let's increase pressure."

Escalation

Suddenly—

Loud noise burst through the speakers.

Not music.

A sharp frequency spike.

People around didn't react.

Only Srikant flinched.

And Sasmita—

Froze.

System Push

Her eyes went blank for a second.

Then—

Focused again.

But not the same.

"Step back," she said coldly.

Srikant didn't move.

"No."

The Line

Her voice dropped—

"Don't interfere."

That wasn't her.

Final Moment

Silence between them.

Inside chaos.

Srikant made his choice.

He pulled her closer.

Not aggressive.

Not forceful.

Grounding.

Breaking the system.

"Sasmita…"

Pause.

"I'm not letting you disappear."

The Crack

Her expression broke.

Again.

"I don't want to…" she whispered.

🔥 Final Scene

Up above—

Sovereign watched carefully.

"This is interesting…" he said softly.

Meera asked—

"Should we stop?"

He shook his head.

"No."

"Let it continue."

Because now—

It wasn't just control anymore.

It was a battle.
