Lucrezia was woken by a loud knock on her room door.
She groaned as she opened her eyes to her new room, which took her a moment to familiarise herself with.
She was still adjusting to the comfortable mattress and silk bedsheets that made her sleep longer than usual.
By the time she got up to open the door, she was greeted by the same girl from the previous day.
"Good morning, Miss," the girl said with a small curtsy.
Lucrezia nodded faintly, still heavy with sleep. She stepped aside, brushing a hand through her slightly dishevelled hair as she signalled for the girl to come in.
Just as she stepped in, the maid moved immediately to the bathroom, turning on the faucet and filling the bathtub with water.
"What are you doing?" Lucrezia asked as she entered the bathroom, which was already steamy from the hot water. She watched the girl pick a few scenting wash stacked on the cupboard in the room.
