Chapter 198 - The Mangekyō of Uchiha Jin

Since awakening his Mangekyō Sharingan, Uchiha Jin had almost never used it in real combat.

The reason was simple.

Cost.

Aside from testing its abilities in secret—and once manifesting Susanoo during an internal Uchiha assembly—he had deliberately restrained himself.

The power was decisive.

But the backlash was real.

Tonight, he had no choice.

The Left Eye — Ama-no-Iwato

The ability dwelling in his left eye was called Ama-no-Iwato.

Named after the mythological cave where the sun goddess once hid, it symbolized devouring darkness.

Its effect was terrifyingly simple:

It erased his existence.

Once activated, Jin's presence was shifted into a separate dimensional state.

In the real world—

No one could see him.

No one could hear him.

No one could even remember him.

Until he expended chakra to attack, or dismissed the technique, all awareness of him simply vanished.

The Right Eye — Ame-no-Uzume

The ability within his right eye was the opposite.

Ame-no-Uzume—named after the goddess whose dance lured the sun back into the world.

If Ama-no-Iwato erased him from perception—

Ame-no-Uzume forced all perception onto him.

Those caught within its influence could see nothing else.

Think of it as attraction.

Or provocation.

A battlefield taunt elevated to divine law.

Neither technique was flashy.

Neither was destructive by default.

But in the hands of someone who understood war—

They were decisive.

Disappearance

"Ama-no-Iwato."

Blood slid from Jin's left eye.

The Mangekyō pattern spun.

Around him—

Including A—

Every Cloud shinobi froze.

Their hands lowered.

Their gazes turned blank.

Who am I?

Where am I?

What was I doing?

They stared at empty space—yet their bodies remained in battle stances.

The memory of Jin had vanished mid-thought.

The battlefield paused.

And Jin walked.

Calmly.

Past them.

Past dozens of elite shinobi.

Stopping directly in front of A.

He inhaled.

And swung.

"One-Sword Style — Torchlight."

Too Late

The moment the blade moved—

Awareness snapped back.

Memory flooded in.

But it was already too late.

A colossal spiral of flame erupted instantly, swallowing A whole.

The fire roared skyward, compressing into a towering inferno column.

A's scream tore through the battlefield.

Even with Lightning Release Armor—

Even with his monstrous vitality—

Thousands of degrees of sustained heat shattered his defenses layer by layer.

Seconds later—

The flames dispersed.

A collapsed.

Charred.

One arm already lost.

Now unconscious.

Still alive.

Barely.

Jin clicked his tongue softly.

If stronger chakra output hadn't broken Ama-no-Iwato's concealment prematurely, he could have reduced A to ash in one strike.

Still—

With the Raikage down—

The battlefield had changed.

Conqueror's Gaze

He turned slowly.

Remaining Cloud shinobi stared back.

Behind him, firelight cast his body into shadow.

Only his Mangekyō eyes burned crimson in the dark.

A crushing pressure spread outward.

Not genjutsu.

Not killing intent alone.

Something heavier.

Something primal.

"Sharingan—Conqueror's Will."

Knees buckled.

Several weaker-willed shinobi collapsed outright, unable to fight.

Others trembled violently.

Yet some endured.

And those who endured—

Chose to charge.

"Kill him!"

"For the Raikage!"

"Even if we die—take flesh with us!"

Desperation burned hotter than fear.

The Endgame

Jin didn't hesitate.

A casual slash erased the first wave in a wall of flame.

He blurred forward, weaving through lightning techniques and projectile fire.

Then he stopped.

Surrounded by over a hundred remaining shinobi.

His voice was calm.

"Let's end this in one move."

He drove Zanka no Tachi into the earth.

"Great Flame Commandment…"

Spiraling rings of fire erupted outward from his position, expanding in widening circles.

The ground ignited.

Air ignited.

Jutsu hurled toward him were blown aside.

Flames gathered.

Not randomly.

But drawn inward.

Pulled.

Condensed.

He raised the blade toward the sky.

The inferno coalesced into a massive vortex.

A firestorm funnel that dragged shinobi into its center.

Those who resisted were still pinned in place by the gravitational pull of heat and pressure.

At the eye of the storm—

Jin slashed downward.

"Fire Release Secret Art — Flame Dance Cyclone: Heaven and Earth Burn Together."

For one breath—

Everything stopped.

Then the vortex detonated outward.

Expanding.

Sweeping.

Erasing.

A kilometer-wide radius turned black.

No screams.

No bodies.

Only ash.

When the flames finally died down—

Only one figure remained standing.

Jin exhaled slowly.

His grip tightened around the blade.

In the distance—

Beyond the lingering curtain of flame—

The battle at Kikyo Mountain Fortress still raged.

This fight—

Wasn't over yet.
