Chapter 85 - Chapter 84: First Night

The new house was quiet.

Too quiet.

Jay stood in the middle of the living room, boxes everywhere, furniture half-arranged. Keifer was in the kitchen, trying to figure out which box had the plates.

Jay: "It's weird."

Keifer: "What is?"

Jay: "The silence. No Tita Gema yelling. No Jasfer singing badly. No kids running around."

Keifer: "No grandmas arguing."

Jay: "No Percy documenting everything."

Keifer: "No Ci-n screaming about something."

Jay: "No Mica and Calix being cute."

Keifer: "No Freya telling Edrix to shut up."

Jay: "No Edrix saying never."

Keifer: "No Aries pretending not to care."

Jay: "No Ella calling him out."

They looked at each other.

Jay: "It's just us."

Keifer: "Just us."

Jay: "That's..."

Keifer: "Weird?"

Jay: "I was going to say perfect."

Keifer: "Same thing?"

Jay: "Same thing."

They unpacked slowly.

Kitchen first. Because Tita Gema would kill them if they didn't eat properly.

Bedroom second. Because Keifer insisted.

Living room last. Because neither wanted to sit in an empty space.

By evening, the house looked like a home.

Not finished. But theirs.

Jay stood in the bedroom doorway. Boxes still in corners. Clothes half-hung.

But the bed was made. Their bed.

Keifer came up behind her. Wrapped his arms around her waist.

Keifer: "What are you thinking?"

Jay: "That this is real."

Keifer: "It's real."

Jay: "We're really married."

Keifer: "We're really married."

Jay: "We really moved out."

Keifer: "We really did."

Jay: "We're really alone."

Keifer: "We're really alone."

Jay turned in his arms. Looked up at him.

Jay: "I like it."

Keifer: "Me too."

Jay: "Tss."

Keifer: "OUR thing."

Jay: "OUR thing."

He kissed her.

The doorbell rang.

Jay: "Who's that?"

Keifer: "We just moved in."

They walked to the door. Opened it.

Ci-n: "SURPRISE!"

Behind him: Everyone.

Section E. Aries and Ella. Yuri and Liana. Percy with his camera.

Percy: "HOUSEWARMING! DOCUMENTING!"

Rakki: "We brought food."

Mica: "And gifts."

Calix: "And more food."

Freya: "And wine."

Edrix: "And more wine."

Freya: "Shut up."

Edrix: "Never."

Rory: "I've calculated optimal furniture placement."

Drew: "I'm taking bets on how long until they're fully unpacked."

David: "Three days. 500."

Drew: "Bold."

Eren arrived with Kevin the Sixteenth. "Kevin wanted to see the new house."

Josh nodded. Approved.

Baster hummed a "housewarming" melody.

They flooded in.

Ci-n: "SISTER JAY! BROTHER KEIFER! YOUR HOUSE IS BEAUTIFUL!"

Rakki: "We just walked in."

Ci-n: "I CAN TELL!"

Mica: "I love the color."

Calix: "Good choice."

Freya: "The layout is nice."

Edrix: "Very nice."

Freya: "Shut up."

Edrix: "Never."

Percy: "THIS WALL NEEDS PHOTOS! I HAVE SUGGESTIONS!"

Honey: "He's been planning this."

Percy: "FOR MONTHS!"

The grandmas appeared.

Jay's grandma: "I'M HERE TO INSPECT!"

Yuri's grandma: "I'M HERE TO APPROVE!"

Jay's grandma: "YOU DON'T NEED TO APPROVE!"

Yuri's grandma: "I'M APPROVING ANYWAY!"

Jay's grandma: "DON'T!"

Yuri's grandma: "TOO LATE!"

They went through the house. Arguing about everything.

Yuri's grandma: "THE COUCH IS TOO FAR FROM THE TV!"

Jay's grandma: "THE COUCH IS PERFECT!"

Yuri's grandma: "YOUR VISION IS FAILING!"

Jay's grandma: "YOUR OPINION IS FAILING!"

Grazel Jay ran through with a flower basket.

Grazel Jay: "HOUSEWARMING FLOWERS! FOR THE NEW HOUSE!"

She threw petals everywhere.

Jay: "Thank you, baby."

Grazel Jay: "I BROUGHT MANY! THE GARDEN IS EMPTY AGAIN!"

Denzel: "She's not wrong."

Grace: "We'll replant."

Grazel Jay: "WORTH IT!"

Tita Gema marched to the kitchen.

Tita Gema: "YOUR KITCHEN IS TOO CLEAN! I'M COOKING!"

Jay: "Tita, you don't have to—"

Tita Gema: "I'M COOKING!"

She started pulling out ingredients she'd brought.

Jasfer: "I'll help!"

Tita Gema: "YOU'LL WATCH!"

Jasfer: "I'M GOOD AT WATCHING!"

Serina smiled from the doorway. "It looks lovely, anak."

Jay hugged her. "Thanks, Mom."

Serina: "You've built something beautiful."

Jay: "We're still building."

Serina: "That's the best part."

Keifer stood with Aries and Yuri.

Aries: "Good place."

Keifer: "Thanks."

Yuri: "Close enough to everything."

Keifer: "That was the plan."

Aries: "Close enough to protect."

Keifer: "I can protect her."

Aries: "I know. But I'm still here."

Keifer: "I know."

Yuri: "We're all here."

The three of them stood there. Old friends. New peace.

The night was chaos.

Food. Laughter. Music.

Percy documented everything. Ci-n helped. Rakki pretended to be annoyed.

Mica and Calix danced in the living room. Freya and Edrix argued about wine. Rory took measurements. Drew took bets. David took a nap on their new couch.

Eren introduced Kevin the Sixteenth to everyone. Josh helped Baster set up a speaker.

Grazel Jay threw flowers until there were none left.

The grandmas argued until they ran out of things to argue about. Then found new things.

Finally. Everyone left.

Promises to return. Threats to visit. Hugs and laughter.

Jay and Keifer stood in the doorway. Watching cars drive away.

Jay: "Our first night."

Keifer: "Finally alone."

Jay: "Finally."

Keifer: "Tss."

Jay: "OUR thing."

Keifer: "OUR thing."

He kissed her.

They walked through the house.

Empty now. Quiet.

But not lonely.

Their kitchen. Their living room. Their bedroom.

Jay stopped in the bedroom doorway.

Jay: "It's ours."

Keifer: "It's ours."

Jay: "Every room."

Keifer: "Every corner."

Jay: "Every memory we'll make."

Keifer: "Starting tonight."

Jay: "Tss."

Keifer: "Stop."

Jay: "No."

He picked her up. Carried her to the bed.

The night wrapped around them.

Moonlight through the window. New sheets. New home.

Keifer laid her down gently. Looked at her like she was everything.

Keifer: "Jay Watson."

Jay: "Keifer Watson."

Keifer: "My wife."

Jay: "My husband."

Keifer: "In our house."

Jay: "In our bed."

Keifer: "Forever?"

Jay: "Forever."

The soft glow of the moon bathed their new bedroom in a gentle light, casting a silver sheen on Jay's skin. Keifer's fingers traced the curve of her jaw, her neck, her collarbone, igniting sparks wherever they touched. Jay's breath hitched, her heart pounding in her chest like a drum keeping time with their new life.

Jay reached up, her fingers tangling in Keifer's hair, pulling him closer. Their lips met in a soft, slow kiss, a promise of more to come. Keifer deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring her mouth, tasting her, claiming her. Jay moaned, her body arching against his, feeling the hard planes of his muscles, the heat of his skin.

Keifer broke the kiss, his lips trailing down her neck, her shoulder, his hands pushing the straps of her dress down, baring her skin to his touch. Jay gasped, her fingers digging into his back, feeling the scars that told the story of his past, their past. They were a testament to their love, their strength, their resilience.

Keifer's mouth found her breast, his tongue circling her nipple, his teeth grazing the sensitive peak. Jay cried out, her body writhing beneath him, her hands clinging to him, anchoring herself to him in this sea of sensation. Keifer's hand slid down her body, his fingers finding the hem of her dress, pushing it up, up, until it was bunched around her waist.

His fingers traced the edge of her panties, teasing her, making her squirm. Jay whimpered, her hips lifting, begging for more. Keifer chuckled, a low, sexy sound that sent shivers down her spine. He hooked his fingers into the waistband of her panties, pulling them down, down, until they were gone, lost in the tangle of sheets and clothes.

Jay was bare now, vulnerable, exposed. But she felt no shame, no fear. Only love. Only desire. Only Keifer. His eyes darkened as he looked at her, his gaze worshipful, reverent. He trailed his fingers up her thigh, his thumb brushing against the sensitive bundle of nerves at the apex. Jay cried out, her body tensing, her hands fisting the sheets.

Keifer leaned down, his mouth replacing his fingers, his tongue exploring her, tasting her, loving her. Jay moaned, her body writhing, her hands clutching his hair, holding him to her, never wanting this to end. The tension built inside her, coiling tight, tighter, until she thought she would shatter.

And then she did. She came apart in his arms, her body convulsing, her cry of release echoing in the quiet room. Keifer held her, his arms wrapping around her, his body covering hers, his mouth finding hers, swallowing her cries, giving her his own.

Jay's hands found the buttons of his shirt, popping them open, baring his chest to her touch. She ran her hands over his skin, feeling the scars, the muscles, the heat. Keifer's breath hitched as her fingers brushed against the waistband of his pants, his hips lifting, helping her, wanting her.

Jay pushed his pants down, her fingers finding the hard length of him, stroking him, loving him. Keifer groaned, his head dropping to her shoulder, his body tensing, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Jay guided him to her, her body opening for him, welcoming him home.

Keifer slid into her, inch by slow inch, his body shaking with the effort to go slow, to make this last. Jay's nails dug into his back, her body arching, taking him deeper, wanting all of him. Keifer's mouth found hers, his kiss deep, passionate, a dance of tongues and teeth and love.

He began to move, his hips thrusting, his body sliding in and out of hers, each stroke sending sparks of pleasure through her. Jay met him thrust for thrust, their bodies moving in perfect synchronization, their hearts beating as one. The tension built again, coiling tight, tighter, until they were both teetering on the edge.

Keifer's hand slipped between them, his fingers finding that sensitive bundle of nerves, rubbing, teasing, pushing her closer, closer, until she was crying out his name, her body convulsing around him, pulling him over the edge with her.

Keifer's body shook as he came, his mouth finding hers, his cry of release echoing hers. They rode the wave together, their bodies shaking, their hearts pounding, their souls intertwined.

Keifer collapsed on top of her, his body heavy, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Jay wrapped her arms around him, holding him close, her fingers tracing patterns on his back. Keifer lifted his head, his eyes meeting hers, his gaze soft, loving.

Keifer: "I love you, Jay Watson."

Jay: "I love you, Keifer Watson."

Keifer: "Forever?"

Jay: "Forever."

They lay there, their bodies entwined, their hearts beating as one, their love filling the room, filling their new home, filling their new life. The moon cast its silver sheen on their skin, a testament to their love, their strength, their resilience. Their first night in their new home. Their first night as husband and wife. Their first night of forever.

And it was perfect.
