Chapter 5 - A True Knights Encounter

The Knight takes out a dagger from his pouch and throws it towards Laniakea. "Pick it up, I may let you live depending on what you do," he says. Laniakea picks the dagger and asks the knight, "w-what should I do?" the knight says, "well I can't and don't want to kill you, so I'm gonna involve the Codex. The Codex says that if we find a child with potential, then we are not allowed to kill them but have to nurture them. Meaning, if you can hit me with that dagger or convince me of your talent, I will let you live. But, If you fail, you will die by my hands. Now let's introduce ourselves. I am Daniel, a knight of the Yun Mairquisate. What is your name, child?" "Wait a way for me to survive? I have to follow along," thinks Laniakea, and he answers:"I AM LANIAKEA FROM THE ORPHANAGE AND I WILL SURVIVE!". Laniakea doesn't hesitate to attack the knight Daniel. He first crouches down, then attacks him while jumping up, using the velocity of his body and momentum of the jump and tries to deliver a vertical slash to the Knights body. but the knight obviously moves out the way and he thinks, "hey, this child is smart, using momentum to make up for his missing muscle mass and body weight. Interesting, I'll just move to the side and evade I don't plan on killing him anyway after seeing this." Laniakea looks at the knights legs and back and notices, "Wait, the muscles in his back and legs seem to be syncing. I read this in the book when, muscles sync, especially the legs and back, then it means a simple movement. He looks like he plans to dodge to the left, if I'm correct, then I can catch him off guard." Just as Laniakea predicted the knight dodged to the left, and he took advantage of that moment. He spun the dagger to use it in reverse grip in order to deal a more powerful downward blow by using his lats, chest and back. He quickly jumps above the knight and stabs down, aiming at the right side of the knight's neck at a 32° angle in order to hit the the only place not protected by armor, not showing a single bit of hesitation in order to survive. The knight was surprised at the movement that Laniakea came up with on the spot. "w-what the hell... Quick!" he pulls his right shoulder closer to his head in order to close the small gap left in the armor. Laniakea's dagger breaks on impact against the knights armor. Laniakea is shocked, thinking his life is over as he sees the knight reach his hand out to his head. But instead of hitting him, he pets him on the head, instead praising him:"Hey, that was amazing. Your names Laniakea? be honored I, Daniel, will remember your name. and here, take this, you deserve this." he reaches into the same pouch again and pulls out a book. "Oh, you probably can't read. I'll give you something else," he says. Laniakea quickly says, "No, no it's fine, I can read! It's up to you whether you believe me or not!" the knight chooses to believe him and let's out a warm smile, which you can't see through the helmet but can definitely feel. The knight says with a joyful expression, "Sure! Just see this as an investment. if you ever need something, just mention my name." The knight, no, Daniel goes back to the noble he's probably escorting. Laniakea takes a look at the books title and has a shocked expression as he reads outloud:"What Is Aura."
