Two Weeks Later
The cemetery was quiet.
Wind moved gently through the trees, brushing against the rows of graves like whispered prayers.
Oliver stood in front of Sam's grave.
He didn't move.
He hadn't, for several minutes.
Meanwhile — at the hospital.
At the Hospital
A quiet conversation unfolded between the nurses at the station.
— How is that possible?
— I've never seen anything like this before.
— Hey, Linda… your patient is a little miracle.
Linda looked down at Oliver's chart again, shaking her head slowly.
— I know. He has an incredible metabolism. If he keeps improving like this, he'll be discharged tomorrow.
The other nurse crossed her arms.
— Three months in a coma… and now this kind of recovery? That's not just fast. It's freakishly fast.
Linda lowered her voice.
— Don't say that in front of the doctors.
— I'm serious. His vitals stabilized quicker than expected. His muscle response came back almost immediately. Even his cognitive reactions…
Linda interrupted gently.
— He's been through enough. Let's just be grateful.
The nurse hesitated, then nodded.
— I've worked here fifteen years. I've never seen anything like it.
Linda glanced toward Oliver's room.
— Sometimes miracles don't ask for explanations.
A short silence followed.
— So… he might be discharged tomorrow?
— If nothing changes overnight… yes.
Suddenly, a nurse ran down the hallway.
— Miss Smith! He's not in his room anymore!
Linda froze.
— I'll inform his parents.
At the Cemetery
— Darling… you disappeared and made the nurses anxious.
— That wasn't my intention.
She touched his face gently.
— I know, my sweet boy.
Oliver grabbed her hand.
— I can't make it stop.
His voice cracked.
— You miss them?
— Yes.
— Do you want to stay for a while?
He shook his head.
— No. I have to take a flight to Germany. I need to tell them. Her family deserves to know.
— They already know. Your father flew there and brought them back. We'll go see them together, okay?
He nodded slowly.
— Okay.
Meanwhile, at Kamui
At Kamui, the small café owned by the Griffin family, life was trying to return to normal.
Sasha stood behind the counter wearing an apron, holding a tray.
— Jack, the couple at table three needs a refill.
— Got it!
— Alex, the door!
— I know, I know! Welcome to Kamui! I've never seen you here before — which means you're a new customer, and I get to welcome you. Two points for me.
The "new customer" smirked.
— You're new here?
— Yeah. My friend and I just moved here. Anyway, you can sit there. Sasha! New customer!
Sasha walked over casually.
— Welcome to Kamui—
She stopped mid-sentence.
Her breath caught.
— …Oliver.
— Hey, Sashy.
She hugged him immediately — then pulled back.
She grabbed his hand and dragged him to the back of the café.
Once they were alone, she hugged him again — tighter this time.
— How are you feeling?
— Good. And you? How are you feeling?
Her eyes filled with tears.
— What do you think, dummy?
— I'm sorry…
She shook her head.
— Be more specific. You have a lot of things to apologize for.
He looked at her softly.
— I'll never leave you alone again… I promise.
The door to the kitchen swung open.
— Sasha! We have seven customers!
— And what are we supposed to tell Hans when he gets back?
— You know how the boss gets when we clock out early!
Sasha wiped her eyes.
— Bye, boys… Oli, I'm ready.
Oliver smiled.
— You call me Oli now?
She blushed.
— I've missed you.
At the cemetery. René Pete the sexton of the cemetery started a conversation with a mysterious stranger.
excuse me sir, are you a relative?Something like that…Oh I'm sorry. It's okay, can you help me send a message…Of course. That is so kind of you.
Meanwhile — Police Station
— Tomorrow, the little Griffin is getting out.
— Good. We'll be here to give him a proper welcome back.
But before anyone could relax a phone rang.
An officer picked it up.
His face changed.
— There's been a murder at the cemetery.
Silence.
— We're already working a case there.
— That's the thing… it might be related.
Back at the Cemetery
Detective Williams stood near the crime scene tape.
Jim looked nervous.
— Andy… you can say it now.
Andy crouched beside the body parts, studying them carefully.
His expression was focused but pale.
— It wasn't a simple animal attack three months ago.
Jim swallowed.
— This crime scene… looks like a massacre. No human could have done this. And it's too precise to be an animal.
Detective Williams crossed his arms.
— Victim?
— René Pete. The cemetery's sexton. No cameras. No witnesses.
— Relatives?
— None.
— Cause of death?
Andy looked at Jim.
— Really? Look at him.
The torso lay in the cemetery hall.
— His limbs were torn off… but he was still conscious.
— How can you tell?
Andy pointed.
— The blood inside the torso is still warm. See this hole? After the limbs were ripped off… it looks like someone put their hand inside and crushed his heart while pulling the intestines out.
Jim's voice trembled.
— And then used the heart… to write this on the grave.
Detective Williams stared at the message written in blood.
— Where did you find the torso?
— Inside the cemetery hall.
— And the head?
Jim hesitated.
— That's the thing. There's no head.
— Identification?
— His name was on the shirt. DNA confirmed it.
The officers stood in silence.
Body parts arranged in a circle.
Inside the circle — a grave.
The victim's blood spelled a name across the stone.
Griffin Residence
Later that evening.
— You're not going back to the hospital?
— Nah. Today was fun, don't you think?
— Yeah. I loved it.
The doorbell rang.
— Don't move. I'll get it.
Sasha opened the door.
— Who is it?
— It's a large gift box. It has your name on it.
Oliver frowned.
— From who? Nobody knows I'm not at the hospital anymore.
They stared at it.
Slowly, Oliver stood up.
— Sasha… don't touch it.
— What?
— Get away from it.
— Why?
He stared at the box.
— I don't know what it is… but I'm sure there's blood inside.
She stepped back.
— What? How do you know?
He whispered:
— I can smell it.
Silence filled the room.
— I'm calling the cops.
Back at the Cemetery
An officer ran toward Detective Jim Williams.
— Detective! We found the head.
Williams didn't look surprised.
— Let me guess. The hospital?
The officer swallowed.
— Yes, sir.
Jim looked at Andy.
Andy's face went pale.
— It's starting again.
