Kaiba nodded grimly. "Yeah."
Marik flipped a Continuous Trap.
"I activate Defensive Slime! As long as this card remains on the field, all attack targets must be changed to Revival Jam!"
"What?!"
Arcana Knight Joker's charge abruptly redirected—its blade swinging toward Revival Jam instead of Jam Breeding Machine.
"Even so, Marik—you still take the damage!"

Marik's black sun pulsed.
"Now Dark Sun activates. When a face-up monster you control is destroyed by battle or card effect, you recover LP equal to the total original ATK of those monsters."
"So I regain 1500 LP!"

"I pay 1000 LP—Special Summon Revival Jam from my Graveyard!"

Marik glanced at the card he'd drawn, then grinned.
"Yugi… now I'll show you what a god looks like."
"So soon…?"
Marik spread his arms as if conducting a storm.
"I Tribute Jam Breeding Machine and the other two Slime Tokens—and from my hand, I summon Osiris the Sky Dragon!"
"Descend—OSIRIS THE SKY DRAGON!"
Thunderheads swallowed the ceiling. Lightning tore down in jagged lines, and a massive crimson dragon emerged from the clouds, slamming onto Marik's field with a roar that shook the air itself.
Yami Yugi's body trembled involuntarily.
So this is a God Card…
That oppressive power—this is the first time I've felt fear this deep. Can a duelist truly defeat something like this?
"No," Marik answered coldly, as if hearing the thought. "There is no way to defeat Osiris the Sky Dragon. Before its endless power, every duelist is helpless—even you, Pharaoh."
"Endless power…?"
"Osiris's ATK and DEF are (number of cards in my hand) × 1000. I have two cards in hand—so its power is 2000!"

"Three thousand… and next turn, when he draws again, it becomes four thousand…" Yami Yugi calculated. "So if his hand reaches six… that means Osiris can hit 6000."

"My turn—draw!"
Yami Yugi's eyes narrowed.
Arcana Knight Joker is stronger than Osiris right now… but with Defensive Slime, every attack gets forced onto Revival Jam. And with Dark Sun plus Card of Safe Return, Marik can heal, draw, and inflate his hand—meaning Osiris keeps getting stronger… damn it.
Kisaragi spoke calmly, almost casually.
"Marik's board looks airtight."
Even Kaiba's expression stiffened. If he were in Yugi's position, he'd have to think hard too.
"But," Kisaragi added, "that 'unstoppable' setup has a fatal weakness. The question is whether Yugi notices it in time."
Kaiba turned sharply, genuinely startled. He knew she was strong—but reading the weakness at a glance was on another level.
Yami Yugi pressed his hand against his remaining cards, thinking.
"Osiris's power is tied to… hand size…"
His eyes flicked to a single card, and the corner of his mouth lifted.
"I set two cards. End turn." (Hand: 1)
"Yugi, whatever you do is pointless." Marik's voice dripped with confidence. "My turn—draw!"
"At this moment, my hand becomes four cards—so Osiris becomes 4000!"

"Battle! Osiris attacks Arcana Knight Joker—Superconductive Wave!"
"Activate Continuous Trap—Toll Surcharge!"
"What—Toll Surcharge?!"
Kisaragi's lips curved. "Good."
Kaiba blinked. "A weakness?"
"Exactly," Kisaragi said. "Osiris's ATK is determined by hand size. Reduce Marik's hand, and you reduce Osiris."
She pointed at the newly revealed trap.
"Toll Surcharge forces either duelist to send one card from hand to the Graveyard to declare an attack. If Marik wants to attack, he must discard—meaning Osiris drops by 1000 immediately."
Marik's eyes widened in irritation. "So that's your move…! Next turn, I'll make you regret this."
"…I cancel the attack," Marik snarled. "End turn." (Hand: 4)
Kisaragi exhaled lightly. "Now it's a stalemate. Marik can't freely attack, and Yugi can't break through yet. Whoever finds the next opening wins."
"My turn—draw!"
Yami Yugi slammed down a trap.
"I activate Magician's Circle! By its effect, I Special Summon Dark Magician from my hand!"

"Then—Special Summon Dark Magician Girl from my Deck!"

Marik's smile widened, predatory.
"Yugi—because you summoned new monsters, Osiris's second mouth will open."
Osiris tilted its other head. Its jaws parted, lightning pooling inside like a storm given fangs.
"Osiris's effect activates! Each time your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster in Attack Position, that monster loses 2000 ATK—and if its ATK becomes 0, it is destroyed!"
"Go, Osiris—Thunderforce Barrage!"
Two crackling lightning spheres launched toward Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl—
"Trap card—Dark Magician Illusion!"
A veil of shadow wrapped around the two Spellcasters. They twisted aside as the lightning tore past them.
"I knew Osiris had this kind of ability," Yami Yugi muttered. "That's why I set this."
He clenched the one remaining card in his hand so tightly his knuckles whitened.
"Now… everything hinges on this card."
