Amelda's eyes widened. "What?!"
Kaiba raised the card he'd just drawn and showed it to him without a shred of mercy.
"I drew The Fang of Critias."
Amelda's face stiffened. "That… that's a Legendary Dragon!"
Kaiba's voice turned razor-cold.
"I activate The Fang of Critias. By sending one Trap from my hand or field to the Graveyard, I Special Summon the Fusion Monster tied to it."
His finger stabbed toward his set card.
"And the Trap I'm sending is this one."
The facedown flipped up.
"Tyrant Wing."
Amelda's pupils shrank.
"And with that—Special Summon!"
A roaring cyclone erupted behind Kaiba's Blue-Eyes, and a draconic silhouette formed out of compressed storm-wind.
"Tyrant Burst Dragon!"(2900 ATK / 2500 DEF)
Amelda gritted his teeth. "So what? 2900 isn't enough. Even if you team up with Blue-Eyes, my LP won't hit zero!"
Kaiba didn't blink.
"Is that so?"
Amelda swallowed. "Don't tell me it has an effect—"
"You're finally thinking."
Kaiba pointed at his new dragon.
"Tyrant Burst Dragon's effect: I can target one monster I control—equip this card to it as an Equip Card. That monster gains 400 ATK/DEF, and it can attack three times during each Battle Phase."
Kaiba's hand snapped toward his White Dragon.
"I equip Tyrant Burst Dragon to Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
The storm-dragon dissolved into a cresting gale that wrapped around Blue-Eyes like armor.

Amelda stumbled back. "Three attacks…?!"
Kaiba's eyes were lethal.
"Battle!"
"Blue-Eyes attacks Arc Brave Dragon!Burst Stream of Destruction!"
A white beam tore through Amelda's stolen Arc Brave Dragon.

"Your biggest mistake wasn't your strategy."
He stared straight through Amelda.
"It was touching my reverse scale."
"Blue-Eyes attacks directly!Burst Stream!"
A beam of white annihilation swallowed Amelda.

Kaiba Seto wins!
Amelda's knees buckled. "I… I prepared everything… and still lost…"
The green circle of the Orichalcos seal tightened like a noose.
"AAAAH—!"
The scream cut off. Amelda collapsed, consciousness gone—his soul taken.
A segment of the stone wall shimmered, showing Amelda's face like a trapped reflection.
"So Amelda has fallen," Dartz murmured. "Kaiba Seto… you too have been chosen by a Legendary Dragon."
Then his gaze sharpened.
"And you, Aoi Aoi… you clearly knew the Legendary Dragons existed."
Kaiba stood still for a moment, staring at The Fang of Critias in his hand.
Aoi walked up beside him, trying to lighten the air.
"Seto, that was a beautiful win."
Kaiba didn't look away from the card. "...Mm."
Aoi smirked. "Hey. Is that card really that pretty?"
Kaiba snapped back to the present. "W-what? That's not what I—"
Aoi laughed. "Relax. Your face was so tense I figured I'd loosen it a bit."
Kaiba exhaled, the edge in his expression easing.
"Tch… you're impossible."
Then his eyes hardened again—business mode.
"We're going to America. We'll get answers out of Pegasus."
Aoi nodded. "Agreed."
The Blue-Eyes jet descended, and the two of them ran straight for the building.
Aoi had been trying to contact Pegasus the entire flight.
"Seto… no response at all," she said quietly. "He might already be dead."
Kaiba's jaw tightened. "I expected as much. Orichalcos."
They reached the front—and found two familiar figures pressing against the glass doors, peeking inside.
Aoi's eyes narrowed. "Insector Haga and Dinosaur Ryuzaki."
The two flinched when they turned and saw who it was.
"K-Kaiba… and Aoi Aoi…!" Haga's voice shook—his mind clearly flashing back to getting demolished before.
Aoi raised an eyebrow. "What are you two doing here?"
Ryuzaki pointed inside. "That loser Jounouchi… he's dueling someone. Right now."
Kaiba and Aoi looked through the glass.
Inside, Jounouchi faced a cloaked duelist in a duel arena. Up above, standing like judges, were Rafael and Valon.
Aoi's eyes sharpened. "Jounouchi's… about to win."
Kaiba snorted. "If that mutt loses here, he stains the 'Top 4' title."
At that moment, The Fang of Critias on Kaiba's person pulsed with light.
Kaiba froze. "Don't tell me…"
Aoi smiled faintly. "Yes. There were three dragon statues in the temple, remember? Looks like Jounouchi has been acknowledged too."
And inside—
Jounouchi activated The Claw of Hermos, fused it with Red-Eyes Black Dragon, formed Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword, equipped it to his ace, smashed his opponent's field… and finished the duel.
The cloaked duelist's soul was taken by the Orichalcos seal.
The doors opened.
Kaiba and Aoi stepped in.
Jounouchi's head snapped up. "Aoi… Kaiba?"
At the same time—
A familiar pressure filled the air.
Aoi turned.
And there he stood.
Dark Yugi.
"Aoi. Kaiba. You're here," he said, voice steady and dangerous.
Aoi nodded once. "Yeah. We got dragged into this too."
Her eyes lifted to the balcony where Rafael and Valon stood.
"We meet again."
Dark Yugi frowned slightly. "You know them?"
Aoi's voice cooled.
"They stole the God Cards during the KaibaCorp chaos. I've got a long list of debts."
She glanced at Kaiba. "Seto already beat the one called Amelda. His soul's gone."
Valon's expression tightened. "Amelda… lost?"
Aoi waved a hand dismissively. "Yeah. He was weak. Seto crushed him fast."
That one sentence made Rafael's and Valon's faces darken—because if Amelda was "weak" to her, then what was Aoi?
Rafael made a decision instantly.
"Valon. We withdraw."
Aoi tilted her head. "Running?"
Rafael's eyes narrowed.
"Duel King… soon, I'll challenge you myself. Prepare."
A green-white flash flooded the air—
And Rafael and Valon vanished, just like before.
The silence that followed was heavy.
Aoi exhaled slowly.
"…Fine. Run. I'll collect what's owed later."
