Chapter 7 - The First Threads of Chanderi

Ayaan had spent enough time observing.

The first day was about understanding.

The second step was always different.

Action.

Because information was useless if you never used it.

............................

Ayaan sat in a small tea shop near the marketplace.

Nothing suspicious.

Nothing dramatic.

Just an ordinary place where people talked.

And that was exactly why it was useful.

People always revealed more when they were relaxed.

............................

Morphion noticed.

**"You are collecting information."

Ayaan took a sip of tea.

"Obviously."

**"You could directly search for important individuals."

Ayaan smiled.

"That would be a bad move."

**"Why?"

"Because walking directly toward the main event announces that I am different."

............................

Morphion processed.

**"You prefer understanding the environment first."

"Exactly."

Ayaan looked around.

"The strongest advantage isn't knowing the future."

"It's knowing when to use that knowledge."

............................

This was something his previous life had taught him.

People.

Groups.

Communities.

Everything had patterns.

Who was respected.

Who was feared.

Who was hiding something.

Who was pretending.

............................

Ayaan listened.

Not with supernatural abilities.

Just observation.

A shopkeeper mentioning strange incidents.

A person avoiding a certain road.

Old stories being repeated like jokes.

But jokes usually carried memories.

............................

Morphion spoke.

**"You are enjoying this."

Ayaan smiled.

"Maybe."

**"Why?"

"Because before..."

He looked at the busy street.

"I only watched worlds like this."

"Now I can actually understand them."

............................

As they continued, Ayaan noticed something.

People were not afraid all the time.

That was the interesting part.

They lived.

They laughed.

They worked.

The supernatural was not their entire existence.

It was only another hidden layer.

............................

Ayaan stood up.

"Let's move."

Morphion asked:

**"Where?"

"Somewhere with better information."

............................

They walked deeper into Chanderi.

Ayaan wasn't searching randomly.

He knew enough.

The town had a history.

The legends.

The stories.

The people connected to them.

And among those people...

one person stood out.

............................

Ayaan stopped near a quiet area.

Morphion noticed.

**"You recognized someone."

Ayaan didn't answer immediately.

Because this was the first time seeing her in reality.

Not through a screen.

Not through memory.

A real person.

............................

Shraddha.

The woman connected to the mysteries of Chanderi.

The person whose existence carried a deeper connection to the supernatural cycle.

............................

Ayaan had seen her story before.

He knew the character.

The personality.

The important details.

But seeing someone alive was different.

Because the real person in front of him was not a scene.

Not a role.

Not a plot point.

............................

Morphion spoke quietly.

**"Your reaction changed."

Ayaan smiled slightly.

"Because reality feels different."

............................

Shraddha was calm.

Observant.

Like someone who noticed more than she showed.

Ayaan immediately understood one thing.

She was not ordinary.

Not because of some movie knowledge.

Because of her presence.

............................

He did not rush.

He did not approach like someone who already knew everything.

That would be unnatural.

Instead...

He simply walked forward.

A normal person meeting another person.

............................

"Chanderi is an interesting place."

Shraddha looked at him.

"New here?"

Ayaan smiled.

"Is it that obvious?"

"A little."

............................

Ayaan laughed.

"Then I need to improve my acting."

Shraddha gave a small smile.

"You talk differently."

"Different good or different bad?"

She observed him.

"Different."

............................

Interesting.

That was enough.

Ayaan didn't need immediate trust.

He needed a beginning.

............................

Inside him, Morphion quietly reacted.

**"Potential connection."

Ayaan mentally replied:

"Not yet."

**"Why?"

"Because a person is not an opportunity."

A pause.

Then:

"First, we understand each other."

............................

Morphion was silent.

Then:

**"That answer is more considerate than expected."

Ayaan smiled.

"You expected worse?"

**"Your previous thoughts suggest efficiency."

"Efficiency and respect can exist together."

............................

For the first time...

Ayaan felt like this world was truly beginning.

Not because he found a supernatural mystery.

Not because he knew future events.

Because he met someone who existed beyond the story he remembered.

............................

And somewhere inside him...

Morphion waited.

Not forcing.

Not controlling.

Just ready.

Because every connection began with a choice.
