Chapter 33 - Curious.

Arriving at home Silas walked inside.

"Away is good, but home is best."

Silas stretched as he walked towards the kitchen, arriving he opened the fridge and grabbed a soda.

I need to go shopping some day. Silas noted as he watched the soon empty fridge.

He didn't eat much since he never really got hungry, he only ate for pleasure. It was the same with drinks.

Opening the can he took a sip.

Thus he needed to buy groceries way less than others.

Silas looked around the house using his divine sense but couldn't find Viktor.

Hmm. Maybe he is out eating…

Silas left the kitchen and headed for the livingroom, as he put down the soda on the sofa table, he heard a sound ring out.

Ring~

Silas sat down and took out his phone.

Caller ID: Alice Cullen

Well she said she would be calling and now she is.

Silas grabbed his soda and took another sip, then clicked the answer button.

"Hello Alice."

"Hii Silas, are you home?"

Silas took a sip.

"Yeah, I just got home, I'm currently sipping a soda on the sofa."

Alice was laying on her bed and looking at her hand as she listened to what Silas said.

As she heard what he said she could see him sitting on a sofa with his phone next to his ear and sipping a soda.

"Oh, was your day good?"

Silas smiled.

"Yeah, there was a good show to watch in biology, thanks to your brother."

Alice smiled.

"Hehe, I knew you would say that."

They both chuckled.

"Yes, my brother is such a idiot." Alice said.

Silas on the other end nodded.

"Yeah."

Alice then furrowed her brows.

"Did the meeting with Kate's sister go well?"

Silas smiled. I knew it.

"Yeah, she was chill, she just wanted my parents number."

Alice frowned deeper and looked worried.

"But… your parents…"

Silas cut her off.

"Yeah, but I gave her my guardians number."

Alice went silent for a second.

"Are you okay?"

Silas smiled.

"Yeah, as I've said before, I don't mind."

Alice relaxed her features.

"Hehe, that's good… I was worried."

"Also you know, If you want to talk… I'm always here."

Silas's smile froze… wow I feel bad. My parents are dead so long ago I can't even remember what they looked like.

"Yeah, you will be my first pick if I want to talk."

Alice smiled.

"So do you live with your guardian?"

Silas felt relieved, let's switch subjects.

"No, he's just my guardian in my name really."

"I do live with a servant, butler, maybe you could call him a cleaner."

Alice nodded on the other end.

"Then do you know how to cook? Since you live pretty much alone, or does your friend cook?"

Alice on the other end had a sly smile. She was nearly one hundred percent certain he didn't eat good home cooked meals.

So she was going to invite him home to her, and then Esme could get someone to taste her cooking and Silas could eat some quality food.

Silas raised an eyebrow.

"Not really, I cook for myself… my friend can't cook."

Alice smiled. Nailed it.

"Then would you want to come over some day?"

"My mom loves to cook and she would definitely love to cook for you."

Silas was quiet for a second. Did he want to eat Esme's food? Yeah… who didn't?

"Sure I think it would be fun, especially since Emmett has been asking me to come over and play video games."

Alice was excited, so excited she ignored the last part. Emmett who?

"Hehe, then how about Friday?"

Silas considered it, and it sounded good.

"Sure, sounds good."

Alice jumped up from her bed. Then she realized.

"Could you drive me home on Friday? So I can show you the way."

Silas smiled.

"Of course."

Alice laid down on the bed again and smiled.

"Then let's decide on that."

Silas took another sip of his drink.

"Well, let's talk more tomorrow, I have to charge my phone."

Alice nodded.

"Yeah, good night."

"Good night."

Silas ended the call and put the phone down.

He put it on the sofa table and took another sip of soda.

All that talking about food made me crave.

Forks.

Cullen house.

Alice jumped up from the bed and ran towards the door, she threw it open and ran down the corridor.

She needed to tell Esme.

Alice ran down the stairs towards the livingroom where Esme usually sat.

As he rounded the corner and entered the living room she saw Esme, Emmett and Rosalie.

"Mom, Silas is coming on Friday, and I promised you would cook."

Esme looked up from her book.

"Really!?"

Esme was just as excited as Alice, she had wanted someone to taste her cooking for a long time, it looked nice but the taste was what mattered.

"On Friday? What did he want to eat?"

Alice was taken aback.

"I… I didn't ask, I can ask him tomorrow."

Esme nodded, but just then a loud shout spread.

"Wait! My good brother is coming by on Friday!? Why didn't he tell me?"

Emmett looked distraught.

Alice saw this and rolled her eyes… Rosalie did as well. Idiot.

"I just talked to him, and I convinced him by luring him with Esme's food."

Emmett looked enlightened.

"Why didn't I think of that?"

Emmett sat down again, with a relieved smile. My brother still likes me.

Alice scoffed.

"Mom, Silas will be driving me here, so he will arrive after school on Friday."

Esme nodded.

"No worries honey, I will fix it."

Alice nodded and turned around to leave, she felt Rosalie staring daggers at her.

She was quite hostile to humans.

After she left Rosalie spoke.

"She's too excited." She said suspiciously.

Esme smiled.

"Yeah, but haven't you noticed?"

Rosalie snapped her head over. Her brows furrowed, then she snapped her eyes wide open.

"You mean?"

Esme nodded.

"Yeah… probably."

Rosalie lowered her head, her dissatisfaction was gone by eighty percent.

Forks.

Immortal Mansion.

Silas hummed as he dropped the pasta in the boiling water.

He stirred the meat sauce in the pan.

He was making spaghetti… also this was not his first try. It was his first try today, but he has also tried this 3 days in a row.

As he stirred the meatsauce he heard the door open.

"Master, I'm back."

Silas ignored him. He can't yell like some idiot.

After a few seconds Viktor entered the kitchen.

"Are you trying this again? Are you succeeding?"

Silas nodded.

"Yeah, I think this might be the time I succeed without making it too dry, salty, or burned."

Viktor nodded.

"I will go wipe the kitchen island."

Silas nodded.

After a few minutes it looked done.

Silas strained the pasta and poured it onto the plate, then he covered it with the meat sauce.

He grabbed another soda and walked over to the kitchen island, as he sat down and grabbed the fork, Viktor was staring at him.

"What?" Silas asked.

"I'm just curious if you succeed."

Silas shook his head and took a bite.

He chewed and then swallowed.

Silas looked at the food and Viktor looked at him.

"So?"

Silas smiled.

"Good."
