Chapter 1 - Otsutsuki

Indra had already decided before the game loaded that he would be a Saiyan; he clicked the option, but then the screen flickered. He lifted his thumb from the button, and the list had changed. He scrolled through it once, and most of it was the same, but sitting between Saiyan and Namekian was something that had absolutely no business being in a Dragon Ball game.

Otsutsuki — Momoshiki- after absorbing Kinshiki.

He stared at it, confused. A Naruto character was in Dragon Ball, but he decided to ball with it and see what would come from it.

"...Alright," Indra said.

He selected it, and the game pulled up a customization screen he'd never seen before. Four categories were already selected with no reroll options.

Family: None. You are the only Otsutsuki in this world.

Planet: Vampa.

Power Level: 1,000.

Age: 256.

Year: Age 729

He scrolled back up, trying to see if he was missing anything, but the game gave him nothing else, so he hit confirm, and then his vision went black.

---

Indra opened his eyes and saw the yellow sky. He sat up, confused.

'...Where am I?'

He saw a barren landscape with craters everywhere. His heart started beating faster, and he looked down at his hands. It was a pale ghost-white skin, traced with dark markings crawling up his forearms and in the center of each palm - a golden eye stared back at him.

His stomach dropped, and he scrambled toward the nearest crater on hands and knees. He looked at the green pool at the bottom and saw golden eyes and two long horns protruding from his skull and dead center on his forehead, a third golden eye.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki stared back at him.

"No no no no-"

His legs gave out, and he thought about the glitch from the game and how his vision went black.

'I got isekai'd.'

'I actually got fucking isekai'd.'

His fists slammed into the rock, and the ground cracked - a spiderweb of fractures six feet wide, but he didn't notice it.

"Are you serious right now?!"

His family and his friends were all gone in the blink of an eye.

'Mom's gonna think I disappeared.'

He sat down with tears coming from his eyes and not doing anything but staring at the ground, then he took a deep breath. He couldn't do anything; crying wouldn't open a portal home.

'So stop. You can't fix this by sitting here.'

He stood and wiped the tears off his face.

'I have to find cover now since this is vampa. I'm pretty much screwed if a Vampa Beast or a Vampa Beetle stumbles upon me.'

Paragus had a power level of 4,200 and was a Saiyan warrior, and those beetles had him scared shitless, while Indra's power level was at a measly 1,000.

He turned toward a cluster of rock formations in the distance and broke into a run. The first stride created a sonic boom that exploded the ground outward where his foot had been and created shockwaves that destroyed the terrain around him.

'WHAT-'

His second step cratered the ground again, and his body rocketed forward, and the landscape blurred into streaks of brown and yellow. He couldn't stop.

'Too fast too fast TOO FAST-'

His foot caught a ridge, and he tumbled, bouncing twice before slamming chest-first into a boulder that shattered on impact. He lay in the rubble as dust rained down.

'...Ow. This body is insane.'

He'd crossed around two miles in three seconds, without even using ki. He pushed himself to his knees and then heard clicking coming from all surroundings. He turned and saw dozens of Vampa Beetles, fanning out in a half-circle that cut off three directions at once. The sonic booms rang the dinner bell across the entire region.

'Oh no.'

He did what he knew best and ran the hardest he ever had. The ground exploded under each stride, and he reached around 4,000 km/h, but it wasn't enough; the beetles were already ahead of him.

Three of them cut across his path from the right, and two more flanked left. He hadn't seen them move; they just appeared.

He planted his foot to change direction, and the rock split beneath him. A beetle lunged from the side - mandibles wide, syringe-tongue coming out. He threw himself backward, and the tongue barely missed his face.

Another one came from below, launching upward with its tongue already extended. Indra twisted, and the tongue grazed his shoulder; his back hit a ridge wall, and four beetles closed the gap from the front, tongues coming out.

'Up.'

His feet left the ground, blitzing through the sky around fifty meters in the air.

'How am I flying?!'

He didn't have time to question it as the beetles swarmed the spot he'd been standing, tongues lashing the empty air. He climbed higher to two hundred feet; he had no idea how to steer, and he was just winging it.

One beetle leaped up with its tongue fully extended, and the tip caught his left arm just below the elbow. His skin split open, and a nasty gash six inches long appeared.

"FUCK-"

His flight stuttered, and he dipped ten feet before the instinct kicked again and shoved him higher, clutching his torn arm against his chest, blood running between his fingers. The beetles circled beneath him, waiting as they couldn't fly, luckily for him. He rose higher to four hundred feet, barely escaping death from the beetles.

---

He spotted a cave that was wide enough to fit through; he hadn't seen any animals, thankfully. He tilted his body and dropped, hitting the ground and lying on his side, breathing hard with his arms still clamped against his chest.

He dragged himself deeper into the cave until his back found the far wall, and he slumped against it.

'First day in a new universe, and I almost got drained dry by oversized ticks.'

He tipped his head back against the rock and stared at the cave ceiling, his horns scraping the stone. His mom always left the-

'Don't.'

He closed his eyes.

'Don't do that right now. Not here.'

He didn't know how long he sat there, but it was long enough that when he finally looked down at his arm, the bleeding had stopped.

He blinked; the gash was closing slowly, the wound knitting itself shut.

'...I didn't do anything.'

He hadn't even thought about healing, and the pain was fading away, too.

"Okay, sure. I'll take it."

He had no idea why it was happening, but right now, he didn't care; the healing had cleared his head.

'I flew with no ki, which meant the abilities were real; everything Momoshiki had, I have.' A small grin cracked across his face.

'I got absorption that eats any ki attack and sends it back doubled. Portals that go through space and a body that heals itself passively with plenty more, other broken stuff. I'm also getting stronger, too.'

It was faint, but he felt himself growing stronger.

'Otsutsuki thing, probably, but anyway, if chakra is ki here... then every ability Momoshiki had should run on ki instead.'

Which meant he needed ki control. He closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to feel the energy inside him. He tried to pull it, move it, direct it anywhere, but he felt nothing. He tried it again with harder concentration, clenching his teeth in the process, but nothing still came out.

"Come on..."

He tried three more times, but nothing came out.

'Fine, I'll figure it out later, and when I learn what I can do, I'm finding that thing and putting a spear through it.'
