The palace halls were quieter than usual, the soft flicker of candlelight guiding her path as she walked.
She crossed her arms over her chest, trying desperately to calm herself, but it was impossible. Her entire body still felt overheated from earlier.
When she finally arrived at the infirmary, she paused by the entrance.
Sophia was sitting comfortably on the bed with a book in her hands, lazily flipping through the pages. The room itself was calm and empty, the silence peaceful compared to the chaos in Arabella's mind

"Are you coming in or not?" Sophia asked without looking up from her book.
Arabella sighed before stepping inside.
"I was worried I would be distract you from your precious book," Arabella muttered dramatically.
Sophia snorted softly.
Arabella climbed onto the bed beside her and immediately buried her face into the pillow with another groan.
Sophia finally placed the book aside and looked at her carefully.
