Enzo listened to her attentively and couldn't help himself from asking, "So you and Sophia stopped talking?"
Enzo asked, a little shocked. "How did you survive all this while alone?" he added as he observed Arabella.
"She was too guilty, and I think I felt the same way too. For some reason, we just stayed out of each other's way," Arabella said.
Enzo looked at her and nodded his head in understanding. He could tell that there was more pain behind her simple explanation, but he did not push her to explain it again. Four years was a long time, and from everything she had already told him, he knew those years had not been easy for her.
"How did you know I was still alive and kept me all these years?" Enzo asked, wanting to know everything that had happened.
Arabella looked up at him.
"Lucien," Arabella said.
Enzo nodded like he understood.
"Of course it's him," he muttered.
