Sophia watched as Enzo and Arabella left for Cedric's manor, leaving her standing there with nowhere to go. She had since stopped crying over Ryan's death. The pain was still there, but she had cried until there were no more tears left. She looked over at Lucien, who was watching her intently instead of carrying out the duties the King had given him.
Sophia looked around. With nowhere to go and the citadel in ruins, she thought of going back to her former bedroom. She began walking toward the palace, while Lucien continued giving instructions to the men who had returned with them. All the maids who had stayed back and worked for Elara were summoned and told what to do. Lucien instructed them about the dead bodies, while other people were already moving through the citadel to clean the streets and remove the damage left behind by the fighting.
