The battle did not come at a small cost. Adrian could not afford to take care of his men and his people who were still trapped behind the Moon Village mountain, so he decided to camp outside the citadel to make attacking the citadel much easier for him. It allowed him to remain close enough to attack whenever he wanted without having to move his entire force each time.
Enzo's eyes rose in surprise.
"He did that?" he asked, and Lord Septimus nodded.
"That was the reason his people began returning to the citadel. He left them to die because of his greed for the throne."
