I still couldn't get over the fact that he had kissed me so deeply in the dressing room, his hands roaming my bare back and thigh without a single word.
The memory made my cheeks burn as we arrived back at the mansion. I snatched the heavy shopping bag from him, nearly stumbling under its weight, but I managed to steady myself.
"I should go to my room," I mumbled, not waiting for his reply before dashing upstairs.
I pushed open my door and was about to shut it when his voice came from right behind me. How had he moved so fast?
"You looked beautiful in the black gown," he said quietly. "You should wear that to the gala."
I shut the door anyway, heart racing. "Black one…" I muttered, rummaging through the bag. My eyes widened in shock.
He had bought every single dress I had tried on the elegant red, the sleek black, the daring silver, and several others. No wonder the bag was so heavy. This man had quietly collected them all.
