Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: Teaching Mainland Common Language

"Oh dear, it's already this time."

Meteria glanced at the sky and exclaimed in surprise, "Oh no, oh no, it's time to rest now!"

"If my sister finds out, she'll definitely be angry."

Remembering that Tenraku couldn't understand her words, Meteria stood up and took Tenraku's hand.

Meteria's hands were warm and soft, and the dark environment made Tenraku's heart race again after he had been concentrating on his studies for a while.

Meteria, carrying the magic stone lamp in one hand and holding Tenraku's hand in the other, arrived at the door they had just passed through on the inner side of the church.

After opening the door, there was a dark staircase inside.

"Is it too dark?"

The two walked in and seemed to notice that Tenraku was somewhat afraid of the dark. Meteria spoke softly to her.

Walking slowly up the dark stairs, not only Tenraku, but also Meteria felt her heart race at the sight of their intimacy and the darkness.

Hera's Familia consisted entirely of women, while Zeus's Familia consisted entirely of men. This husband-and-wife Familia was known as one of the two strongest Families in the world.

However, Zeus and Hera had contrasting personalities: the former was a pervert, and the latter was prone to jealousy. Arguments between the couple were commonplace, so their relationship as a family was naturally not good on the surface.

Therefore, this was the first time Meteria had been so close to a man, let alone holding hands and walking down this dark staircase together.

"arrive."

Upon reaching the basement, Tenraku surveyed his surroundings.

The environment is alright. Although it can't compare to 21st-century housing, for Tenraku now, having a place to live is already pretty good.

"Goodnight, Tenraku."

Meteria led him to a room. Tenraku couldn't understand what she was saying, except when she called his name in the native language.

Having roughly guessed the meaning of Meteria's words, Tenraku sat on the bed, and then saw Metlucia smile slightly and leave the room.

Darkness enveloped the surroundings, leaving only Tenraku's own breathing.

"It's truly a dream."

Tenraku's expression became dazed.

He was transported to another world. After being hungry for a day, he was taken in by a beautiful, white-haired girl who was very kind and taught him to read and write.

Can you just say you were lucky?

Or is this the legendary 'fateful encounter'?

Thinking about what happened today and Meteria's gentleness, Tenraku soon felt sleepy.

I'm really tired today, I should get some rest.

I hope I won't lose my kidneys when I wake up.

With a wry smile in his mind, Tenraku quickly fell asleep.

Meanwhile, in another basement house, Meteria covered her cheeks, which were flushed.

"I met an interesting person."

The thought of a man sleeping in the next room made Meteria feel both shy and excited.

"I wonder how my sister is doing."

Meteria muttered to herself as she changed her clothes and lay down on the bed.

Hera's clan set out yesterday to fight against the Sea Tyrant - Leviathan.

While she was worried, all she could do was pray that her sister would return safely.

Unlike herself, who lacked talent, Meteria's older sister, Alfia, was very talented and became a member of the Hera Familia at a young age.

Surely she'll be able to return safely?

Thinking about this, Meteria thought of Tenraku again and couldn't help but smile softly.

Sleep well, tomorrow will be interesting too.

The next day arrived as expected, and his kidneys had not disappeared. Tenraku also completely let down his guard against Meteria.

"Surprisingly, I slept so well."

Perhaps because of his encounter with the beautiful girl, Tenraku slept very well that night.

After stretching, Tenraku walked out of the basement.

The sun is shining brightly; it must be past nine o'clock already.

Meteria, sitting in a chair, smiled when she saw him.

"Are you hungry?"

Meteria got up and walked over, gesturing with her hands.

Tenraku watched quietly and quickly understood the meaning behind her words.

"Come on, wash up and eat."

She pointed to the wooden cup, brush, and toiletries such as towels on the side.

There was no toothpaste, but there was a powder similar to toothpaste.

He quickly finished washing up and had breakfast, then took out a few more books.

"It's time to begin today's lesson."

These books are all basic texts used to introduce children to the world of literature. She said with a confident expression, "As far as teachers are concerned, I'm pretty good, aren't I?"

Looking at Meteria's adorable appearance, Tenraku couldn't help but raise his hand and gently pat her head.

Although it's a bit presumptuous, since Meteria touched him yesterday, it's okay to touch him back now, right?

Carefully observing Meteria's expression, Tenraku noticed that she didn't seem to mind; in fact, she blushed slightly.

Goodness, are all girls in another world this innocent?

Tenraku smiled and said softly, "I'm counting on you."

Although she couldn't understand Tenraku's words, his gentle words still made Meteria feel a tingling sensation in her heart.

It seems they are the same type of people.

Meteria thought for a moment and then began today's lesson.

Compared to yesterday, the two were now standing much closer.

Although they haven't known each other for long, they get along very well.

Meteria was especially naive, and Tenraku's timing was perfect, plus he had an air of mystery about him, which made Meteria develop a strong liking for Tenraku.

"That concludes today's lesson."

A week passed quickly. After observing Tenraku's learning progress, Meteria couldn't help but smile happily and said, "It seems I am indeed a good teacher, and of course, Tenraku is a good student too."

She no longer referred to Tenraku in the awkward foreign language, but simply pronounced Tenraku's name using a similar pronunciation.

After all, Tenraku lives in this world and will eventually need to use its language to better integrate into it.

"Amazing, amazing."

Tenraku gently stroked Meteria's head, then pinched her cheek.

Although they can't communicate fully, they have learned some vocabulary and can manage daily conversations by guessing.

That said, since transmigrating, Tenraku feels that his learning ability and comprehension have improved a lot.

Whether it's studying or doing anything else, things have become very smooth.

Calling this a magic touch feels a bit like using a leftover tool.

"hey-hey."

Meteria wore a smug expression, looking very cute.

The two have made quite a few intimate gestures like this this week.

As time passed, he completely lowered his guard against Meteria and genuinely fell in love with the girl.

Gentle, caring, and kind, she's a perfect wife.

This reminded Tenraku of the protagonist in "Re: Creator," who caused Shimazaki Setsuna to commit suicide because he was jealous of Setsuna's talent.

He can even throw away a wife who was given to him by heaven; you can imagine how useless that protagonist is.

Tenraku then thought of himself.

Even in this strange world, the lack of power still made it difficult for Tenraku to feel at ease.

The fact that a naive girl like Meteria could grow up safely in this city suggests that she was well protected by her family.

Tenraku even imagined scenes of being slapped in the face, but fortunately, he hadn't met anyone other than Meteria this week.
