The Story of Prophet Adam (A.S.)

1. The Creation and the Angels' Concern Allah decided to create a "Khalifa" (vicegerent) on Earth. When He informed the angels, they expressed concern, wondering if this new creation would spread mischief and shed blood, as they had seen other creatures do . Allah replied, "I know what you do not know" .

2. The Superiority of Knowledge To show Adam's (A.S.) status, Allah taught him the names of all things. When the angels could not name them, Adam (A.S.) did so easily [02:00]. This demonstrated that humans were given the gift of knowledge and intellect.

3. Iblis's Arrogance and Expulsion Allah commanded all the angels to prostrate (Sajda) before Adam (A.S.). Everyone obeyed except Iblis (Satan) . He refused out of pride, claiming he was superior because he was made of fire, while Adam was made of clay . Consequently, Allah expelled him and cursed him until the Day of Judgment .

4. Satan's Vow Satan asked for respite until the Day of Resurrection, which Allah granted. Satan then vowed to mislead humans from the straight path, attacking them from all sides to make them ungrateful to Allah .

5. Life in Paradise and the Forbidden Tree Adam (A.S.) felt lonely in Paradise, so Allah created Hawwa (Eve) as his companion [03:37]. Allah allowed them to enjoy everything in Paradise except for one specific tree, warning them that eating from it would make them wrongdoers .

6. The Deception and the Fall Satan whispered to them, claiming that eating from the tree would make them immortal or turn them into angels . They were eventually deceived and ate the fruit. Immediately, they became aware of their nakedness and began covering themselves with leaves .

7. Repentance and Life on Earth Allah questioned them about their disobedience. Unlike Satan, Adam (A.S.) and Hawwa (A.S.) immediately admitted their mistake and sought forgiveness, saying, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves..." . Allah sent them to Earth to live for a fixed period . Adam (A.S.) continued to seek forgiveness for many years until Allah accepted his repentance .

8. Conclusion and Lessons Adam (A.S.) lived on Earth for about 900 years, and from him and Hawwa, the human race began . The story highlights two paths: the path of Satan (arrogance and blaming others) and the path of Adam (admitting mistakes and seeking sincere repentance) .
