Chapter 2
When Scarlate opened her eyes, she saw herself as a grown-up child. Looking around, she thought, "This is my second life."
She was the first princess of the kingdom, and by the time she turned five, she had started enjoying this life very much. Here, no one bullied her, and her parents never got angry. Her father, King Gazel, loved her dearly, and Queen Victoria, her mother, loved her the most. Even the people of the kingdom adored her.
Secretly, Scarlate would slip out of the palace to practice magic. She feared losing her parents, so she wanted to make herself strong. By now, she could control fire, wind, and water magic and had already reached the 4th circle.
One day, while she was practicing magic, King Gazel saw her. He thought, "My Scarlate can use 3rd circle magic already, she is truly a genius!" Then he quietly left.
King Gazel himself was a swordmaster, and Queen Victoria was also a magician, skilled in the 7th circle.
King Gazel then told the Queen, "Our Scarlate can use 4th circle magic.
Queen Victoria was shocked and said, "Our daughter is only five years old, and she can already use 3rd circle magic. She will become a great mage when she grows up."
They then asked Scarlate, "You can use magic, right?" Scarlate hesitated, worried they might punish her if she revealed too much. But despite her fear, she said, "Yes, mother and father, I can use magic."
The King and Queen said happily, "Scarlate, you are truly a genius! You learned 3rd circle magic on your own." Scarlate corrected them, "Mother, not 3rd… I can use 4th circle magic."
King and Queen were shocked. "Our daughter can use 4th circle magic at just five years old!"
King Gazel then said, "Scarlate, you need a magic teacher." Scarlate said excitedly, "Yes, father! I am very interested in magic." And she thought to herself, "This life is full of happiness. With parents like this, I don't need anything else."
Finally, King Gazel summoned an 8th circle mage from the Magic Tower to train Scarlate. Her journey to master magic had officially begun.
